Coffee-Mat question: Does your center kicker hole plastic insert say "WICO Big Top" on it?

Kinda weird how that plastic looks like a key fob but Big Top is a home game with no locks.

The foxy lady is the most popular cocktail pinball machine to be found in Europe. This is the third that I restore, always with the same pleasure. I love this game, its wheel, its 4-tone chime, simple and effective.

How many of yours have physical chime boxes? I've got one here with chimes and one with a digital sound board.

All three have it...I never asked myself the question, because for me all the foxy lady pinball machines work with the original chime boxes, I didn't know it could work with a digital sound board. Amazing, it's a discovery.

So suddenly, thinking about it, the reverse should work...is it possible to make a star trip work with a chime boxes?

That was going to be my plan... lol

I would like you to tell me how to do it, I will be interested in doing the same thing on my star trip, swap the sound board with the chime unit. Is it complicated to do?

Or could just a playfield swap work between a foxy lady with chime unit and a star trip with sound board?
That is to say, on one side install the star trip playfield in the cabinet with the chime unit, and on the other side install the Foxy lady playfield in the cabinet with the sound board. Is it as simple as that or are there special connections to be made?

I'll know more in the coming weeks. Hopefully it warms up and I'll feel more like being out in my shop. Finishing shop jobs on the two star trips and the foxy lady here will be priority #1. Then I'll mess around with trying to swap the chime box around.

is there be any way to increase brightness for the score displays ?
mine don't seems as bright as the ones in this night moves pinball.

It's probably just an aging display. The display on my Night Moves is noticablely dimmer than my Caribbean Cruise and some of the other Night Moves pins I've seen. If it really bothers you, replace it with either a new old stock display or better yet, a brand new LED replacement.

Is there an led replacement for it?

these are new replacement led displays for 80b , it might work , but night moves is not listed on the compatible list.
but are a bit costly at $300.

I got 4-5 sets of the wolfpack led displays last summer for some games, they work great, I'll have to take my night moves out and see what it needs

Looking to het a roy clark today for a good price, supposedly working. Is there any certain things i should double check when looking at it? Thanks for any pointers.

Drop target mechs are often broken. Pop bumper rods+rings too.

Inspect the flipper linkages under the playfield for cracks. They (foolishly) used plastic actuator cams which can break and those parts are basically unobtainium unless you can find another ALI machine scrapped for parts. Alternatively the flipper mechs can be entirely replaced with more reliable Bally mechs but that is a fair bit of work and also will alter the way the game plays because ALI flippers are longer than anything else.

Here is my Star Battle. I did find out that after I made the video that the sounds were correct!.

I installed LEDs and Superbands all around. I Also added a Light Socket into the Pop bumper body and replaced the White Cover with a Clear One.

I did get around to making a new plastic with the artwork for the saucer. The machine is now 100%

I made an error in the vid as the cabinet is metal but the top is wood.

Picked it up, some switches werent registering. Reseated the board connectors. All work. Got it cheaper because it wouldnt score properly. Lucky me. New garage pin.

I seen in a few pictures online thay these may have been equiped with cupholders? Are these obtainable or reproduced? This is all so new

Playfield needs a good cleaning and new rubbers but that's it.

I just listed some smaller bundles for cocktails, if anyone is looking. I could also be talked in to selling either of the Star Trips I'm working on (not done yet) if interest is there, and I have two extra Gameplan glasses.

They're pretty hard to find tbh. The plastic is brittle and deteriorating more every day. I was working on some 3D modeling/printing but my local resource bailed on me halfway through. I could put you in contact with the guy who made some parts for my Af-Tor if you wanted to see if he would do it. He does great work.

Overall it's not a great design to begin with. Very fragile.

Please send me the info, a friend in wisconsin said he helped someone get some 3d printed. But havent heard back. Gotta start somewhere, thanks for the reply!

The guy who made my Af-Tor drop target mounts is named Joe Zenkus. I hit him up on Facebook. I'm sure he could model the Allied Leisure parts and make something. Personally I feel like an overall redesign, rather than pure duplication, would be better. Jady Swinks also offered to do it, but before I sent him anything I found a viable drop for my Roy and gave up on it.

Joe did an awesome job for me. Highly recommended. Jady has done fantastic work with classic Stern targets (I bought a bunch of those, too).

My working idea was that if you redesigned the actual target piece and then replaced the plunger (I believe this one was pulled off an old Williams flipper assembly that I rebuilt but just about any one could be made to work), you wouldn't have to worry about the crappy plastic 'ears' on the original targets breaking, ever again. It was just an idea though, and it never came to fruition.

Thanks guys! Good to know there is hope. My good friend has made some(3d printed) for another friend and was gonna make me a set. Unfortunately the one that broke somehow took the pluger plastic down with it. So need one of those as well as one of those tabs broke in the fiasco. He is gonna ask his friend to ise one of his for reference. Will post back with results.

Check my post history, I think I linked the 3d printed versions I designed. Once I got the right material and print settings they've held up fine on location

The center hole doesnt have any markings on it.

That playfield decoder board needs attention in both games. Someone thought that scrambling the wires was going to fix something? Yeah right.
Anyway there's an issue in there somewhere because that handy set of leds on the main board says the same switch is stuck when my meter says they're open... and said so with the wires arranged differently to both boards.

I think I have a couple left.

Was this the one I saw for sale in Illinois? Congrats regardless. You can get the manual off IPDB and from there you can read up on how to change various settings and the welcome message. Only suggestion is that the language in the manual is somewhat unclear on how to get into audits vs adjustments and audit is a longer press and adjustments is a very quick tap.
