Dang, those yellowed old comic book long boxes give me the warm fuzzies.

I like the elephant idea more than the chevy-ish logo with the books and flippers. That one seemed a bit... literal? Almost like a generic shape with a couple of your interests tacked on. The elephant has some mystery, a story, and just seems like a more holistic (?) concept.

I'm torn on which elephant animation looks best. I would guess it will depend on which is feasible / affordable per the neon guy.

I can't speak for Ryan, but there's just something about real neon that can't be replicated (yet).

I'm still rooting for number three. The others are all fine designs, but for me, none of them have the wow factor and uniqueness of the whole enchilada, er, elephant.

No matter which you choose, I think you should go into custom neon design as a third (fourth? fifth?) side hustle.

Might just be the photo, but the color temp looks like they're already LEDs. For my basement cans I just threw in some Greenlite brand 8W dimmable 3000K LEDs, only a buck each. Installed a few dozen a couple years ago, zero burnouts, and they work pretty well with my existing dimmers.

Result: the one that nobody voted for. *LOL*

Looks great in the space, though!

I’m guessing you’re the single most prepared customer that guy ever had, if not the most prepared in the entire history of neon. Reminds me of when I took very detailed room measurements (including a scale drawing) to a carpet shop and the guy said, “do you want a job?”

That vector file in color would make a decent shirt.

Yeah, maybe it’s a bit too subtle without the glow. I only said “decent,” not great.

Wow, that looks insanely difficult to make. But to those guys it's probably just another day at the office.

    Quoted from RyanClaytor:

At the end of the meal, Josh politely reminded me he needed the balance of the sign paid.

Should've messed with him and said with a straight face "oh, I thought lunch would cover it. That's all the money I have."
