So I took a drive up to Cointaker on Wednesday with fellow duderino burningman to pick up my Lebowskis. What a great day! Thanks burningman. After waiting 2 years and 9 months it was finally time to load these babies up and bring them home.

Before I go any further I just wanna say that Chris and Melissa are top notch. I was very excited to see their new warehouse and hear all about their future plans. Great things on the horizon and I can't wait to go to the open house scheduled for the spring. They even hooked me up with a little extra swag and drinks. Thanks guys.

At some point on the drive home my excitement turned to panic. What if I get into an accident? What if the van breaks down? The only thing to do was to take a quick safety break, turn up the tunes and put the pedal down. Back in town i picked up my buddy David (who was probably pissing himself) waiting for me to return and then the real challenge began. This is my first NIB. How the hell are we going to get this box in the house? Not a chance. I harkened back to earlier in the day to hear these wise words from burningman "Dude, just take it slow. Lay her down and the box will open up like a flower" and that it did right there in my backyard. With a little help from my girls we carefully unpacked The Big Lebowski.

The setup was slightly hampered by the lack of directions in the box.
What do I do? What do I do?
F#€k it dude, let's go bowling.

In summary,

I'm in awe

I have a ridiculous stream of consciousness 3 night/early morning set of notes of my first experiences if anyone is interested.
I'll leave it up to you. Do you wanna hear the abridged version or the Jeff Bridges version.

Quoted from vicjw66:

Did you seriously unbox it in the dirt and mud?

I didn't have much of a choice but remember it opens like a flower so the petals stay on the bottom to protect it.
