hey pinheads. I’m probably going to order my game but before I do is there any issues with this game other than taking a year to get one? I remember 5 years ago on location it would constantly be broken down.

Check the TBL maintenance thread:

If you are doing okay with PB Alien, you should be okay with a TBL. You may have to do some adjustments but once dialed in it's a very solid game. I've had mine for almost a year now and I'm very happy with it. Dutch is great on the support side of things and the service manual covers just about every scenario. I've been through a problems and fixes and all the answers were available to me in that manual.
Its definitely worth it.

No worries, you will be fine. We are there to help you. And yes, if you have two left hands and are afraid of any diy work TBL is, like any other pinball, perhaps not for you. Can only state DP is there to help you if something does break down.

Thanks. Good to read at least one person has been reading my work . You don’t wanna know how many hours went into making that …
But, us dudes are there to help other dudes

lol thanks.
FedEx originally asked me to provide a delivery window of two hours, so I said 11:30 to 1:30. He showed up at 10:30!
I took it out and set it up solo. Zero problems, zero issues, zero adjustments. Works 100%. That’s super rare for any NIB!

Tremendous! I'm so happy for you, and everything works right out of the box; what more can one ask?
I still have a loooong way to go before I get mine, but I love seeing when others get theirs.
Enjoy!
Finally able to make the plunge and preorder!
I kinda had the opportunity to play this one time at tpf 3-4 years ago. There was one there that had a super long line but we waited and on my second ball, the ball had got some air and got stuck in a weird place and that was it lol. The game looked so good and felt smooth the little bit I got to play. Also Dutch support and care seems top notch!
Can’t wait to play a full game on one!
Quoted from ThePinballCo-op:Every batch has had two EAs with it. So that's two EAs per month or so, 24 a year.
That means I only have a little more than three years to go.
Anyone know how wide the pallet the game comes on is? Hoping there is a way that they can wheel it in my house tomorrow morning when mine arrives, but guessing it's unlikely.
Quoted from Rick432:That means I only have a little more than three years to go.
All those getting games now, keep this in mind. This guy paid full price, what 8 years ago?
Good on Dutch for sticking it out, but yea...
Quoted from Mneubey:Anyone know how wide the pallet the game comes on is? Hoping there is a way that they can wheel it in my house tomorrow morning when mine arrives, but guessing it's unlikely.
It's as wide as the box that it comes in. It's able to fit through a standard doorway.

Did FedEx wheel it in the door for you or do they just drop it on the driveway like R&L did with my Wonka?
Thankfully they brought it all the way down to my garage. I didn't bother with them carting it inside. I'll get a buddy to help bring it in later today. This thing is really heavy! Like sttng or totan heavy from what I can tell
Arrived physically in perfect condition. Just a few minor things .. pin 6 doesn't register, the ball keeps getting stuck in the scoop, and the sub cuts out randomly some times. Overall, very impressed with the way it was packed and limited issues after being sent around the world. I'll make the proper adjustments tonight, and should be perfect
PXL_20220527_154156760 (resized).jpgVisited DP factory today for an, thanks to COVID, overdue housewarming party to open the new factory.
Some pictures for you guys to get an impression. And yes, there are people normally working there, they were just having a good time too …..
The two rows of boxes on top of each other you see are empty by the way.

Maybe “The Matrix” ??

Looks like either lots of buyers OR people testing new games! Don’t leave any dimples please.
Quoted from SaintJB:Did FedEx wheel it in the door for you or do they just drop it on the driveway like R&L did with my Wonka?
Wheeled it in.
R&L has always wheeled it in for me too. Guess you just got a bad/tired driver.

Next release? There are still people waiting for many years to get their EA TBL !!!
What about them???
Quoted from Mneubey:the sub cuts out randomly some times.
Interesting you say this, because I just got my game and the sub woofer is also cutting out randomly here. I checked the connections and when I do the sub kicks back in but then it’ll cut out later on again.
Not sure why

For your both, see page 158 of the service faq at https://www.dutchpinball.com/the_big_lebowski_pinball_support.php
Just turn the bass a little down and I suspect you both will be fine.

Hey Rensh, I’ve got an older game. Are they selling the starry apron upgrade?

Please let me know how you set yours up. I don't have much strength, due to an ongoing medical condition. I'm thinking of either hiring a couple of movers or buying a lift cart to move it into my basement (when I order one and get it, that is). No stairs from my driveway to garage to basement, thankfully.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the "EA" TBL?
Quoted from iceman44:Hey Rensh, I’ve got an older game. Are they selling the starry apron upgrade?
They are. Starry lit apron is eur 495 excl VAT and excl shipping
It ofcourse doesn’t have the EA plagues or EA engraving but for the rest the same.
If you want one, sent me a mail at [email protected] incl tbl serialnumber and shipping adress.
Quoted from Striker:Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the "EA" TBL?
Sorry not needed.
EA stands for Early Achiever. That were people who bought their game in approx 2014. From the approx 200 people who ordered one back in the day a rough 100 are still waiting for their game due to a lot of circumstances. Should write a novel on this one time.
DP is doing everything they can to fullfill the orders but it’s going slower as we all hoped for. First COVID and now part supply issues are nowadays main cause for this.
But, it’s expected to reach the finish line !
Quoted from Striker:Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the "EA" TBL?
EA = Early Achiever Editions
These are the people who ordered TBL when it first came out. To honor their purchase they are supposed to get a numbered game and a fancy EA apron for their games.
But the early stages of the production of this game caused financial issues, so EA games are being made slowly along with new orders. For every 10 or so new games made 2 EAs are shipped out, per my understanding.

Oh, wow. That sucks for them! But I'm still chuckling at the name "Early Achievers."

Do you know what an Achiever is?
I signed up for a TBL way back when as an "Early Achiever". I even got a T-shirt from Dutch Pinball. Too bad it is not my size (large and I am a small-medium). When it actually came time to send money, I backed out. I was still waiting for my WOZECLE after many years of delay and was frustrated with the whole preorder deal. I forget what the initial asking price was. Anybody care to say? At the time it did seem like a lot of money. I want to say in 8-9 thousand range. I may have dodged a bullet and I would love to have this machine.

You made the right choice. If you paid that same deposit today you would get your game before your previous EA order sad but true

it was 8500$ / 7750€ back in the days
I took video of setting it up, but the audio was super quiet, so I was gonna scrap it. I'll post it on here for a reference, bad audio and all

Here is is - certainly not my best, but it may be interesting for those of you wondering how the machine arrives.
Thanks for posting! I can’t believe you lifted the back end of that thing all by yourself.
I also gasped when you turned it on. For a second there it looked like it shorted out!
Thanks! Lol, yeah - my heart totally sank when I flipped it on and just got a blink. The few seconds in between that and the machine actually booting seemed like an eternity

Hey the harbor freight lift carts are back savers. Once you drop the machine down onto the front two legs you just roll your cart under the game and jack up the back end.

^^^This. If you are in the hobby, I would say that this is a first-class investment. Most definitely makes setting up a pin by one person a breeze. Also great when you have to move a pin around. I also use it when I need to lift a slot machine onto or off of a stand.
It's definitely worth the price, and if you keep an eye out, Harbor Freight puts out coupons that you can use to reduce the price further (they had a 25% off coupon on anything in the store, but it was for today, Memorial Day, only, though.).
