Just posting to say I had a chance to play this at Cointaker’s super awesome party. Had a blast with this machine. My wife loved it too and said we have to get one. So, since this dude must abide, I put a deposit on one last week. I know it’s gonna be a looooong wait. But, we are super excited!

Quoted from digitaldocc:

So the question is what do I do now for the next 10-12 months of waiting? F IT. let's go bowling.

I’ve been working on perfecting my White Russian recipe while I wait. Lol

I'm definitely not cancelling my order
Hopefully it will be resolved by the time mine comes. But, I can be handy with an iron if I must. It is an amazing game to play. I just love it!

Quoted from TheBananaPeel69:

Do I want to own this game?
The synopsis I’m getting here is:
-Expensive
-Long order/receipt cycle
-Problematic playfields and toys
-Amazing integration of an awesome theme
-Decent, but not outstanding pinball game
I would be planning for a late 2024 acquisition if I were to. Should I wait a bit more to see what happens at Dutch?

Expensive- I guess... but compare to other new pins nowdays, not so far off.
long order- I waited over a year for my godzilla. eh.
problematic toys/stuff- I have had to do some fixing to every one of my machines so far, so this is really no different a concern for me.
theme integration is amazing. reminds me of how my Hobbit is integrated.
I'd call it much more than a decent pinball machine. I loved playing it on location. my wife played it a few times and said we need to buy one of these. So, I did. Its coming soon hopefully.

Dear Pinside. I never thought this would happen to me. I have a problem. I played TbL for first time at Pintastic. I think I’m in love. I can’t stop thinking about preordering one but I already have too many pins. But it would pair so nicely with Pulp Fiction which I have on order. What would you do?
-Starcrossed Pinhead

My wife and I played it at Cointaker at their yearly customer appreciation party last year (which is great event, btw). We both loved it. About a week later, my wife said,' I think you should order us a TBL.' So I did. Final invoice paid. Just waiting on shipping notice now. Congrats on diving in!

I’m officially in the club now. I have to figure out the car which was working well for 5 games and now is acting weird. Also, check out this stuck ball

Quoted from WillM:

Hey Man, Welcome!
Regarding the Car: keep in mind depending on the car mode, you only get to continuously bash it in "Kill The Car" mode. Other times it's one-and-done (dead upper right flipper) untill you get back to the mini playfield. If it's something else, check the FAQ or, asked here. Someone's likely already dealt with it; alao, Dutch Pinball is always watching this thread. No one will leave you hanging. [email protected] is seemingly available 24/7.
Stuck air balls: reduce flipper strength, as you likely already know...
BTW: Donny would never allow that to happen just saying, man.[quoted image]

The coffee can spotlight mod is awesome!
Yeah, I've been working all day and need to scour the FAQ's regarding the car. It was like the car disconnected from the actuator (I don't really know how it opens yet). it was just flopping back and forth, and wouldn't close at the end of the mode. I removed the glass and pushed it shut a couple times and it just was floppy still, then it seemed to engage again and stay shut under power. Then randomly, it came open a few inches and wiggled a bunch. After that I shut the game down, restarted and it did the same. It was late, so I shut it down and went to bed. lol I'll dig in tonight probably. What a great game though. Simply awesome! I think this is the one game I might go crazy with mods on

Quoted from Rensh:

Car issues are almost always related to switches, either cardoor closed switch or the parking targets which act as cardoor fully open switches. Can you pls explain what you call acting weird?

I'll try to describe it.
So it was working fine. I had the ball on the upper playfield. I hit the ball up near the pivot point of the car and the car kinda opened about 1/2" (1.5cm or so). I was not in a mode that should have opened the car. As I kept playing, the ball hit the now sort-of open car and the end and opened it further. It was now floppy. A ball that hit it, would push it into the handicapped targets which would register the hits. But it still flopped around as if it wasn't engaged with anything. Sometimes it would rebound off the handicapped targets and close 3/4 of the way, then a ball would push it fully open again. After that ball finished, I took the glass down and manually pushed the car closed, but it kept open just a small bit (1/8" or 2mm). Finally I pushed it shut and something seemed to grab it and keep it closed. I thought all was well. Played a game and the car opened (I think when it should have, but I forget). But, it only opened about half way. Then, while open half way, it vibrated back and forth like something was trying to move it but couldn't. At this point I shut it down and I haven't had a change to play with it since. Work has been busy! :/

Rensh I took video of what the car is doing. Is there an email address I should send them to?
