The only issue I'm concerned about is the lower flipper coils heating up to the point of making them noticeably weaker on ramp shots.
I adjusted the flipper opto bds by shimming the top a bit for the interrupters to go deeper (minimizing light leakage)
This seems to have made it a bit better.
Other ideas on this ...
Not sure that introducing fans on the coils is truly helpful but I would like to hear experiences.
Are there software settings for flipper strength that others have experimented with?
I see that the coils are RED 11630 ... has anyone swapped these for orange or maybe the left one for BLUE? Don't want too strong.

Love the strategy of holding off on left saucer until you collect as many characters as you can.
Multiple characters make multiball much more interesting!
Love the timeout feature of MARK IT ZERO shot to the saucer... a very subtle hurry-up
The bowling feature is way cool and unique! Much more interesting than I anticipated.
Wonder if you can put LOTR flipper coils on it

As far as the rule go - there isn’t a great deal of strategy etc, but collecting bowling balls for specific characters doubles their jackpot shots in multiball. This video does a good job of explaining the nuances of the rules:

So the lockbar fitment is kinda off like CGC games. Back glass is insanely heavy. Game looks and shoots great. Theres a bad ball trap on the upper playfield ill figure a remedy and pass it along. All the rubbers even with sitting are perfect and the bowling ally has all upgrades. So far eveything has been great. One of my chrome legs needs the threads chased on the bottom. Not a huge deal

If i had the time id love to see a lit bowling sign on the bowling alley on the uppet playfield with the stars lit up. Maybe bowling turns on when lets go bowling is lit
I think im gonna put the next size up flipper coils on. They feel a touch to soft and a long night it can be a chore for the ramp

Yes but i dont see much change. Its fine for normal gameplay but when you play it for a long time the coils heat up and the ramps can be a chore so just a touch more power should do alot

When I set the game up
I put all the balls up top and not one below. Game would kick out one ball to start then nothing after that. I played one game after a 12 hr day and went to bed .Then next day I fixed it !
Gotta say I’ve unboxed a lot of new games but was nervous with TBL

This is a in play thing. I do know when you lose the ball this game has a garbage ball search. Hopefully we can get some updates lol

Ive considered a few finishes. Obviously one being a mirror black finish like dudes ball, also a nice metallic gold that kinda looks like a 90s bowling ball

I decided to go this route over the copper because the mirror blade on the left side looked odd with a shiny copper next to mirror. The design idea here was intended to mimic those Terrazzo concrete floors with the metallic and glass bits embedded. That always felt very 50/60s jetsons to me when done in black. IMO it fits the bowling alley look in Lewbowski. There is a slight metallic sparkel, but it's generally fairly flat in depth. I definitely didn't want it to look like a glitter starfield and I don't think it does. Overall I'm happy with this.

Anyone interested in getting their game done let me know. It really does look like a bowling alley kinda theme. I’m gonna do it on my personal game as the lockbar just being polished stainless is gonna show scratches etc like crazy.

Pretty tall order and I’d have zero belief it’d be 200 dollars due to just the pcb, the lighting strings and just manufacturing costs.

Based on the fact the game sells for 12,500 NIB it’s just like iPhones. Doesn’t matter what he builds them for, it’s what will we pay and based on that I’m sure 500.00 will be the number.

If you haven’t emailed Barry about a light up apron I strongly encourage you to do so. Demand will definitely drive the production. Considering he already has a contract with someone who’s dedicated programming and tooling should be easy enough to remove early archiver from the program and run them

So the polished plating on this game simply isn’t going to hold up over time so I Powdercoated mine and my coin door to a finish I call mega sparkle. I’m beyond pleased. If your interested contact me but first and foremost if you change your armor coated or not the side rails are on top of the decals and the decals will pull very easy off the cabinet so don’t use heat. We’ve discussed several times of contributions towards hiring the coder, that being said there would have to be a set time line. Good on Barry for doing all he’s done but his history isn’t clean.

There’s no extra ball coded in the game, mystery is still but useless, not all the characters have modes, crazy amount of bugs in this game, overall polish. Honestly only thing I really want is a effective ball search. Like what a garbage ball search, you get the ball stuck you might as well start pulling the glass. Also with some coding he can get the flippers, and other mechs to work more consistently. It’s not a huge list but if we can get more out of the game then absolutely. I’m 100% happy as it sits but why not push for the complete project.
Honestly it’s expensive, really in the large scope of life not worth it. I got it anyhow and I’m glad I got it. Really makes you feel like you still have the most gorgeous pinball ever designed. It gave me a new reason to smile when I play the game.
