Can’t get my machine to take the .55 code. Dowloaded it three different times and used three different USB drives (2.0 and 3.0) and no dice. Dropped the whole unopened folder into the drives which have no other updates or other files on it, using the USB port in front like advised which usually connects to the sound board. Upgrading from .51 and using a Mac. I have updated tons of game in the past and this has me stumped. I press the button to update from the USB prompt and it says “reading USB” for a millisecond and then...nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
Quoted from okgrak:What file system format are you using? Did you use disk utility to format the usb drives before copying the zip over?
Fat32 on all 3 drives. The drives came pre-formatted I thought? I’ve never run a disk utility on them in the past as I thought as long as they were Fat 32 formatted they were good to go?
Quoted from Rensh:You state the whole unopened folder, are you sure it’s still zipped ?? Some computer auto unzip it.
Than you can try ofcourse several of the USB ports. The two on the left are usb3, on the right are usb2. You can take out for instance the audio usb of place is. Ended as it’s not needed during update anyway.
Boom! Thanks guys. Was using my sons laptop and didn’t realize it was auto unzipping files. All good now.
Quoted from gliebig:Just got my TBL. Everything works great. My Donny loop is getting a lot of stdms. Is it supposed to feed to the left or right flipper when it loops around?
Yeah that skill shot #2 for the rug mode is a no go for me b/c it’s SDTM every time.
Quoted from bemmett:My biggest problem to date is the orbits both left and right. Get SDTM on them like 90% of the time which is really frustrating. I have tied bending the orbit lanes slightly but there is very little give especially on the left side. Do people have this problem or a better solution. Pretty frustrating as can't do skill shot on plunge cause that is instant death and I'm basically avoiding them during play where it will make a full orbit cause I know it's coming.
I feel you. Third skill shot is not an option and any clockwise orbit shot with the gate open is death. To anyone who’s orbit is dialed in, where is that shot supposed to end up? Right flipper/sling or left side when the orbit is entered from the right side?
Quoted from Soulrider911:Hey dudes! Wow amazing how much response this little idea generated.
I should probably start taking names - in hopes I can mass produce these things.
Some testing.
I realized that some may not want ball deflection as a feature. So I have made a variant that is slotted so the ball does not touch it on its traversal along the guide. Few more tweaks are needed but getting close.
There have been questions about making this for “both sides.” Currently only making it for the right entrance.
Will keep u all posted [quoted image]
I would definitely be in for both sides to possibly assist in my orbit issues. Thanks.
Quoted from DrBernd:…in my opinion this upper playfield is one of the best I‘ve experienced so far (beside Alice Cooper’s NC )
It‘s fully integrated in gameplay with one of three skill shots, it has a cool bash toy with three modes (car), one main function is progressing to „let go bowling“ by playing loops, it plays a central role in certain rug modes (e.g. the targets to complete Ransom Note) and you have a controlled! play up there. A lot of things to do on such a small area.
Agreed. I generally don’t like upper (and lower for that matter) playfields but this game is different. So much to do and so perfectly integrated in the skill shots, modes, etc. Bashing the Dude’s car and the noise it makes is just so perfect. It’s like the crowbar to the windshield combined with the roach in the crotch crash into the garbage cans haha. And I thought that bowling downstairs would get old, nope.
Quoted from eharan:I have had the game for about two weeks and find this to be a very challenging game. Am I the only one that finds it difficult? My high score is 21M but most games are around 5M and average game time is probably 2 or 3 minutes. Curious how everyone else is scoring on the game?
About the same. Avg game is about 5-7 mil for me. It’s moderately difficult I would say.
