Thanks dude! Glad you are enjoying it!

yes. it's similar to the metal leg bracket protectors. Putting a washer that's bigger or the same size isn't going to do shit, except dig in farther out. If you offset it inside. The digging in, won't be visible. It's going to happen either way. Nearly every playfield I get in to restore, has dug in star posts. Whether it's 60's, 70's 80's 90's or 2000's fields. They all have it. Some worse than others. Big deep rings pressed into the playfield, causing the outside ring to push up and buckle.

#4855 1 year ago

I think this will really tie the room together.

Do you recommend what HEP is doing or the “rubber washers” from Titan? Thought, since you have a ton of experience on playfield restoration too. Thx

Even from here the quality is next level. Very high end. And packaging first class.

rubber washers would work too, but I would fear the rubber fusing to the clearcoat. I've had rubber fuse to star posts before. Sure would do it to clearcoat as well. What hep is doing would stop the digging in for sure. It's why I use the metal standoff brackets for leg protectors. Those plastic piles of shit, actually destroy cabinets and make the damage so far out, the leg can't cover it anymore. I throw those plastic "protectors' right in the trash.

Are the only star posts on TBL at the slings?

Excellent idea, small metal washers under the the spine of the star posts. Not visible, cheap, solid installation and not impacting play. Dutch Pinball should do that going forward to prevent any issues with those Mirco playfields.

#4861 1 year ago

Interesting….I did not know they offered anti-reflective glass and mirror blades…

Neither did I. Bit of a shame really as I’d have ordered both.

I do have the starry apron though coming on my TBL next month

#4864 1 year ago

Starry apron definitely worth it I love it. Game has been playing great it’s honeymoon phase but I can tell it’s gonna be one of the greats already.

if you want that rug to last, you won't be able to have it like that. It will get wore out very fast.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

Doesn't the manual say you shouldn't walk on it or play pinball on it?

It's really only useful for "display only" collectors, which there are unfortunately lots of.

#4867 1 year ago

Really, I have to download the manual I have the rug underneath. Nothing like getting the rug pulled out from underneath

Quality of current rug is very different to the first delivered ones.

Yes, it will wear for sure in the end but I would use it as its meant to. Have fun with it !!

Do you sell just the rug if we want a spare one?

Quoted from thekaiser82:

Yup. No worries. Just enjoy TBL to the fullest.
After all, what’s the dude without the rug?

You just need to make 4 holes in the rug for the bolts you are using to bolt your TBL to the floor

Counted 9 pcs

Only starposts reporting pooling issues sofar are at the slingshots. And than only top and bottom, no the middle one.

Definitely be playing mine, if it wears it wears. It looks pretty solid - rubber backed. Likely I’ll get sick of it though - I move my games around a bit - could get annoying. Otherwise I’ll get a spare.

If you read/search on pinside you will also find a link to "china ware" rugs for little money to use.
My original rug is on the wall at my gameroom, under the pin is a "china rug". So I have no problem if the cats are under the pin. The first series of rugs looking great but were very poor quality.
The china rugs are were also available in difference sizes.

Here you see the china rug and the typical rug killer ...

when I ordered mine in November there were 3 options:

- anti réflective glass
- mirror blades
- lit apron

I took them all.
there is also a project around the mirror backglass but I don't know if it will be offered directly by DP.

That would be nice.

Also luminated sideart was talked about some month ago.

#4879 1 year ago
Quoted from TomDK:

Also luminated sideart was talked about some month ago.

That project is still on going but already halted for quite some time due to lack of resources, mainly time. Just so many hours in a day and, feel myself a broken record sorry for that, running a factory in current times is a challenge.

In regard to the mirrored backglass, that’s a project which is progressing. I know at least 1 proto was made which needed some improvements. Think also a second proto with improvements was made too. Let me check.

#4880 1 year ago
Quoted from CaptainNeo:

rubber washers would work too, but I would fear the rubber fusing to the clearcoat. I've had rubber fuse to star posts before.

Firstly, those Titan washers are silicone, not rubber, and secondly, the recommendation is to firstly put Mylar rings down and the silicone ring on top. If there is any fusing, and I’ve never seen silicone fuse, it will be to the Mylar, not the clearcoat.

#4881 1 year ago

Where are these options of mirrored blades and the invisiglass found?

I just looked on Dutch’s site and Cointaker’s, and I came up empty.

#4882 1 year ago

Misunderstood. sorry

See post #4879, paragraph 2 from Rensh. He works for Dutch.
Still in prototype as an offering.

Seems like Rensh is answering about the illuminated sideart and mirrored backglass not the mirror blades and invisiglass. I would also like to know how to order the invisglass and mirror blades.

Quoted from DruTheFu:

If you already have the pin I would just order a sheet of Voodoo glass from Cointaker? That’s what I did, I imagine having a sheet shipped from the Netherlands would be pricy.

#4885 1 year ago

I know there are add ons but not exactly what. Am more envolved on the technical side.

Best to check with CT. It’s for the saleschannel to promote this stuff.

But, more than happy to check with factory which options are currently available from factory as add-ons. Also I can check status on the mirrored backglass.

#4886 1 year ago

After inspection I also noticed pooling and even slight loss of paint on the upper left sling post. Number 527 here, only home used. Playfield code: 16062021.

I will notify DP to see what steps to take next...

Greetings all.

My apologies if this has been covered in an earlier post. I just couldn’t find anything that covers my particular problem.

I took delivery of my TBL back in late April 2022. No issues to until this past week. I updated the game from .59 to 1.10 on Wednesday. I also installed Flipper Coolers at the same time. On the first game about 3 minutes into it, I lost the bass from the internal Subwoofer. I kept the game going and about 2 minutes later the display froze and the game locked up.

I reset the game and the same thing happened 4 more times. Note that after 250 plays prior, I’ve never had an issue with this game.

I disconnected the Flipper Cooler thinking this was the logical problem. Same issue… I played the Jukebox option on v1.10 for an hour and never lost the bass.

I left the Flipper Coolers disconnected and backed down the software version from 1.10 to 1.00. The game locked up again (black display and no gameplay).

I scrolled backed to v.59 and assumed all would be good. The game locked up on me 30 seconds into the first ball.

I am at a loss now. This BY FAR the favorite game in my collection and at this time it is unplayable. Any thoughts would be most appreciated!!!

Thanks, Dennis

Do you have a multimeter? My thoughts would be a power supply dropping output low or a failing SSD. If you have a multimeter you can check the output from the power supply to make sure your outputs are all strong. See if there's a clue there. Also might want to check the connections at the power supply and see if one of them isn't quite plugged in all the way which could cause intermittent power loss enought to lock up the machine.

These playfields are the same as GNR and Wonka - no different from what I can tell. I've completely "pool proofed" both of those and this PF is no different. If you get in early you can protect it but it's a f*n pain in the ass. If you do it properly, it's hours of work before playing a game. I'm over it. Last time. These manufacturers need to stop supporting this sh*t.

Short answer - yes.

Long answer….
9 packages going out tomorrow and I am all caught up with those that paid.

Next on my list, is to quote 12 people (which you are 1) later this week.

Little playfield update. After removing the post I discovered the paint was fine. Only the top layer is irregular/erected. Better seen on the picture. Hope for tips to halt this process, before the playfield is actually damaged...

Noticed a kit to prevent further damage in JJP GnR, also using Micro playfields

Maybe we need this too on the TBL?

My pin was built 8/31/2022 and I have seen no signs of pooling. I just added some number 8 washers for a bit of protection. Might switch them out to the Titan silicone washers if I get around to ordering them. I would still order a new TBL again without a second thought even if there was some pooling, This pin is too good and too well built to let that prevent me from having on. Plus Dutch Pinball’s support has been outstanding to very transparent, very large thanks to @rensh.

For comparison I have a Rush that I am afraid to play out of fear of burning up another #10 node board.
