I like it... really puts the room together.

That someone was me. Thanks for posting.
I have been thinking more about the unfinished subway ramps, and the potential to damage the balls... I may get mine powder-coated, I have a guy that will do it for like 15 bucks. MIght even be better than polishing... thoughts?

I am surprised they have not addressed this issue in current builds.
I've seemed to have chased away most of my issues except two which I'm hoping I can get another owners help on.
1)Jesus ramp.
Used to struggle to get up the vuk, now they just bounce out. Medium/Hard shots just bounce or roll back.. Only the softer ones seem to take. I have moved/bent my vuk assembly several times which tends to cause other problems that I end up just moving back the other way. Can someone who did adjust their vuk assembly measure the angle of the bracket against the playfield? I just keep moving this thing back and forward.
What worked for those of you who had the same problem?
2)
Airballs from stand ups. I've heard of people changing out their targets but with what? I have a new build but this is still a problem on my game.
Thanks!!

Nice!!

This is the poor guys version:
Wireramps and screws copper plated.
All armour , coindoor and the frame for the topper powdercoated in candy copperwith chromepowder as underlayer.
Like it .... but would prefer real copper ...[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That looks great man, nice choice

I didn’t swap but was told to get the Bally Williams from pinball life. Instead I just adjusted the positioning until the air balls stopped.
Quoted from bemmett:I don't have a way to 3D print unfortunately. If anyone local has need/want to do some of these I'm all for it! So with doing that does it put the ball to the right flipper then?
I would print it for you but the shipping cost would be outrageous. I´ve sent you the model, hope you´ll find somebody who can print it for you.
It´s supposed to keep the ball on the left flipper bat.
Quoted from Soulrider911:Hey dudes! Wow amazing how much response this little idea generated.
I should probably start taking names - in hopes I can mass produce these things.
Some testing.
I realized that some may not want ball deflection as a feature. So I have made a variant that is slotted so the ball does not touch it on its traversal along the guide. Few more tweaks are needed but getting close.
There have been questions about making this for “both sides.” Currently only making it for the right entrance.
Will keep u all posted [quoted image]
Got mine ( slotted) and installed today. Perfect fit, material feels strong w just enough " give" ...think it will be quite durable and didn't alter the orbit flow at all. Highly recommend, and now fearless at smacking the right side. Thank you!!!
Hi guys,
Software update 0.57 is now public.
This update includes a fix for clicking power supplies, a fix for noisy stepper motors, an improved ball search and other bugfixes.
Download:
https://www.dutchpinball.com/the_big_lebowski_pinball_software
Changelog:
https://www.dutchpinball.com/tbl/changelog
FYI: Development on the 1.0 code is on a separate development track so there is more code already in the works.
Enjoy!
Hey Koen
I think I am two updates behind. Do I need to run .56, and then run .57?
Thanks for your continuing work on this. Everybody on this thread is very appreciative
The detailed information is on this page: https://www.dutchpinball.com/the_big_lebowski_pinball_software
If you are running 0.46 or later (which should be everybody at this point) you can update straight to 0.57!
Does anyone have the dimensions for this pinball machine for shipping? I know stern machines are about 31” tall and won’t fit in my SUV, but I’m curious if this might be a little lower profile with the head folded down and legs off.
I haven’t been able to find anything yet on dimensions.
Thank you!

Keep that great work coming! I noticed some issues with the skill shot score counting on the last update FYI. You may want to look into this. The let’s go bowling skill shot and rug skill shot (closed) don’t award any points. Seems odd. Not sure if that was intentional. Still having issues with music cutting out during rug modes, but I love what you’ve done. Thanks for the ZERO ball save!
Quoted from TouchingEvil:So are we going to get more modes and video clips for this game ?
Yes. This as announced earlier rel 1.0 is in the making which will incl more modes more videos more call outs. No release date is given but will take months, not weeks or days.

Are the games shipping out this week with 0.57?

Got it......so October.

I just picked one up today and I measured the height at just a hair under 30'' with the head folded down (approx. 30'' H x 28.75'' W x 52'' L).

Beautiful machine! Were the rails tough to take off on tbl? Any advice please?
Ok - finally in stock!
“Hollywood Star Lanes” - led sign.
Font matches original sign!
For sale:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/the-big-lebowski-mods
For motorized bowling sign:
Ok need opinion:
1. Would you buy either one? Yes or No
2. Which one do you prefer: (a). White letters with color rings OR (b) Color letters with color rings.
I’m not sure unless you plan on lighting it up or not. The sign had 2 distinct looks which may have changed over time. I’ve included the day shot. I assumed you are going for the night lit up look. While your color scheme is accurate per the pic you posted, the movie shows all the letter lit up the same (blue neon with rust red outlines). I think either look is good (day or night)

If it lights up I like B better. if not, I like A better.
cpr please put one of everything aside for me. I think I've asked you this before but I just want to make sure. When you're done with that spinning bowling sign I'll get everything.
A is more legible… if I where color blind a also would be much more legible because it has good contrast with the white lettering.

Yes I’d buy. I prefer a, more legible with white letters.
Quoted from PinheadEDM:Beautiful machine! Were the rails tough to take off on tbl? Any advice please?
No more difficult than any other game. They are attached with double sided tape and a bolt and screw on either ends. I used two plastic scrapers. Basically just start on one end and use the scrapers to breakthrough the tape. Just go slow and steady and work your way across the machine.
Hi folks! Silly question - just got my TBL (used, from original owner) - updated from .51 to .57 and it seems to be working 'pretty' well, but I have a few questions.
1. Apron cards - this one doesn't have any, and I can't find any. Is there an image file or apron cards I can buy somewhere? Looks pretty plain on the apron without anything but slots!
2. Lock bar feels sharp, stamped and cheap. I saw someone replaced theirs with a much nicer chrome Bally Williams (?) bar. Does anyone have a source for this piece or part number? I'd like to upgrade.
3. On the center scoop / VUK, when the ball goes in, it doesn't kick back out unless I gently nudge the machine, then it lights yellow and kicks the ball out. Is that a playfield angle thing or an opto issue or?
I think that's all for now. The sound and video assets on this machine are just awesome. Looking forward to getting it dialed in! (And figuring out the airballs coming off the left ramp constantly.)

1. You can get Apron cards off of DP website:

or
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/custom-apron-cards-printable-versions-only/page/2#post-5158866
2. You can get a new lockdown bar (I understand) from either pinballlife.com or chrome version at Pinballplating.com
3. I think that center scoop - if I remember right in this thread - that is part of the metal guide-rail system under the playfield. Maybe check this or the cherry switch that detects it.

Quoted from adam12hicks:Any tips for preventing this stuck ball situation? I wish there were stickies on this thread, as this is probably common, but I couldn’t find anything by searching.

Are your pop bumpers pushing the ball up there? Is there a way to turn these down in the new code?
Also, easy to attach something either under 1 bolt or both to prevent.

I have a bowling pin there. I wasn't have your issue, but it would solve it.

No, it's jumping off the left ramp and landing there occasionally. The left ramp is driving me bonkers. Everything else seems to be pretty dialed in - except the lower playfield cover that won't sit flush regardless of how much I try and adjust it from beneath
Otherwise, love the game! So different from what I'm used to with modern Stern machines.

Good idea! Can I ask where you got those? Are they the keychains from Amazon? I need to put some on mine - although I'd think they knock over easily if only held on with a small bit of adhesive?

The way we dial this in on Munsters applies to TBL here….cut a credit card/plastic room key at a 45 degree angle in half. Now we use only 1 of the 2 pieces.
Hold the big part of cut card and face the sharp side at the playfield clear window. Run the thin part of the cut card back and forth at all the points where you can tighten underneath. Dial in each location. You do this with playfield in the vertical position, using card in one hand and wrench in the other.
Boom good to go!

Will give it a go - I had a similar playfield with AC/DC Luici but it adjusted more granularly. This one seems to bump up in the center of a section between two adjustment screws, but if I lower it down it's too low on that side. Probably need to just keep tweaking it. It's pretty close right now, but we like perfection!

Also the left and right stand up targets on each side of the left ramp tend to bend back assisting in airballs. The fix here is to replace with heavy duty standup targets. I think Marco specialties sells them.

Are you seeing this also with the new reinforced targets? The reports I get in this issue have more or less disappeared with the new targets.
Are there zero airballs? This not but it’s only a very few I see on my TBL
And yes, the BA window needs to be flush to avoid balls jumping of the left ramp.
Quoted from Rensh:…the BA window needs to be flush to avoid balls jumping of the left ramp.
…I have a playfield protector installed, but I find that this happens from time to time.
In my opinion it depends on the style you play the game. I prefer a controlled style, and thus it almost never happens.
But if someone prefers a faster gameplay - more often „on the fly“ - that might be a problem indeed.

Yes, these are from the key chain. I just used two sided tape. Haven't had one get knocked off yet.

May I ask how I'd know whether my machine has the reinforced standup targets or not? I purchased from the original owner (he has a collection of 70 amazing machines. Things were meticulously kept.)
