Only 49 more years until it's paid off then. Based on DP's schedule, should be about right

Man I absolutely love this game. The callouts are amazing. It plays great. I have no playfield dimples at all. I was worried about the music but I really like the instrumental versions. Really blends in well.

Couple small issues but I'll get them figured out. The ball doesnt always launch up into the shooter in the lower bowling alley.

The ramp rejects but the 3d printed clip is supposed to fix that.

And really really fast shots to the donny lane will come around and go SDTM. But rarely.

I am so in love with this machine. It shoots like a new bally/William's.

#871 4 years ago

Has anyone else noticed how they do the gi?

A small solid plastic peg through the playfeild to a board mounted led below the playfield.

Yup.

Similar leds on printed circuit boards of new Stern machines. Always wondered what happens if one goes out however led life expectancy is millions of hours.

The Led light pipe is an interesting and less expensive way of dealing with the GI lighting.

I think in the end just different ...

On the playfield - I have found the wood to be very “dent resistant”. Maybe other pinball manufacturers can ask who is doing DP playfields. Of course, maybe these playfields have been hardening up over the past 5 years!!

Lol I think you answered that. Mirco did them but that was over 5 Years ago so if they aren't hard by now they never will be! lol Granted I bought a spare just in case. Loving this game.

I actually don't see why this game would dimple much anyways. Just like CFTBL the PF plastic window protects much of it and the game doesn't launch those full playfield airballs that beat the hell out of other titles.

My old CFTBL has no dimpling either but why would it? The balls never leave the PF.

I've gotten quite a few airball on this game especially if you get it flying around the donny loop then smash the ball into a target or post its bound to get air.

Just really good playfeilds. My huo first run Metallica premium has almost no dimpling either.

Just seems the playfields were better 5 years ago I guess.

Definitely different but works really well and you dont get any flickering from loose bulbs.

Man, these EA aprons are amazing. I hope someone figures out how to do this aftermarket, or Dutch Pinball makes another version!

Very cool ... and deja vu!

I look forward to purchasing and finally installing these in my own TBL soon!

Yep. Absolutley LOVE this apron and looking forward to it on my TBL! A very nice upgrade by Barry that surpasses what was originally supposed to be part of the game.

I’m serious anyone in close enough contact with Barry we can get them without the early achiever cut out? Maybe we can replicate it I can powdercoat them

#885 4 years ago

Main thing is making sure that they would tie into the lighting like this EA apron does...it looks great

Agreed, making them would be easy. Getting them integrated with the light show not so much. I would be in on a purchase if Barry was to offer these.

Me 2

Just need a picture from underneath to see how lights are connected and integrated.

Rensh any help on pictures?

#888 4 years ago

It’s more than just a simple connection. There’s a PCB involved.

There is a PCB below the EA apron indeed which is connected with a Long flatcable towards the ‘mod’ connector. You can see it running in attached picture from the top and ending Just below the proc in the section with Caution in it.

Hope this is clear enough

Oh, and I do know Barry is Considering to make this apron (Without the EA part ofcourse) an optional item which can be bought. So hold your horses for the moment.

So I emailed Barry about the aprons and he says they are in the works BUT I strongly urge everyone to email him to ensure he knows it has a high demand and should be easy money for him. The more interest the more inclined I think he would be to ensure they are made ya know. You can reach him here

Cool - thx!

That is one long ribbon cable.

Always wondered what that “mod ribbon connector” would be used for in the middle of the board.

Barry confirmed “ And yes we will make a version for ‘regular’ games too” by text. I didn’t get a timeframe or any other details. Even if it’s half as good as the EA one, I’d be all over that. Coolest apron I’ve seen, makes my STLE look simple.

How many TBLs have been delivered, 100 - 110? Guessing Barry is going to sell about 100 of these new Aprons. Put me down for one. I had in my mind to do this myself. Bought an apron and colored plastic to laser cut but never got around to do. 100% would rather buy one ready to go with integrated lights. Please don't make this $500 Barry.

$200+ shipping sound good? And can we please buy this through coin taker? I'd rather deal with them please.

Pretty tall order and I’d have zero belief it’d be 200 dollars due to just the pcb, the lighting strings and just manufacturing costs.

Stern sells plastic colored aprons for 69.00

Last custom apron with no lighting I saw was Hooked’s ACDC (which looked great BTW) at 349.00

No way these will sell for less than that. My guess is the 399-499 range.

Based on the fact the game sells for 12,500 NIB it’s just like iPhones. Doesn’t matter what he builds them for, it’s what will we pay and based on that I’m sure 500.00 will be the number.
