It’s 2020, I am sure the EAs Need To be more patient
The money has been stolen... period

When DP folds up and ghosts the Victims “EAs”
Will Cointakers reputation be hurt for being involved in this scam ?
At some point Pinside should step in and pull the accounts of DP and anyone involved in this fraud.

Pinside and cointaker could consider any involvement in helping DP rip off the community Illegal, unethical or ignorant.

The two biggest lies told:
1: I won’t cum in your mouth
2: The checks in the mail

Doing some checks, tightening screws and general look over after first 5 months.

Need some help:

First do you have a screw here- see blue highlighted circle.

2nd - do you Flipper springs just attach to the edge of the metal? Mine don’t go in the hole.

What does yours look like?

See blue circle.

See blue circle.

Quoted from estrader:

I would use the magnet antenna that is included in most toolbox sets.

I can take the glass off and hit it with my finger.

I am more looking at a solution for getting to stop getting stuck in the first place. I am wondering if I can widen the scoop opening and exactly how (what tool) to use to do it. The problem is the scoop has a mounting bracket right at the opening where I need to widen it.

I have sent an email to Barry, but I am guessing he is slightly busy.

Thanks!

Quick question- on the flipper spring does the spring go in that outer hole? Or is yours just resting on the edge of the metal bracket?

Thx!

There should be a screw but be careful. If there isn’t a white spacer below the PCB installing a screw and tightening it will bent the PCB which you don’t want !! So if you are niet sure that the spacer is there leave it as is.

Doesn’t Cliffy live in the Bay Area ???
My game comes tomorrow, he’s more then welcome to come over and play the game, take measurements etc
I will buy him lunch and order a set
As well. No guess work
San Mateo CA

Whatever happened to reaching out to Cliffy about TBL protectors? Did we ever hear if he was working on anything for our game?

This is what I got a month ago, just 2 total pieces. No update since:

I make the main scoop http://www.passionforpinball.com/wip.htm
and in process on the shooter eject

#666 4 years ago

My apologies if this is the wrong spot to ask but is DP really making more/additional/new BL's?

I just communicated with him yesterday, he has the scoop Cliffy and has a shooter one that he’s made, but not sure if it’s perfect.

He sent me a few pictures and I thought it looked good. Hopefully he can send them out pretty soon.

Can we buy from him directly or is there a specific distributor of the TBL ones? I can't imagine they'll be too many sets made with only a 100 or so games out there.

How does the Cliffy scoop differ from the oem one that shipped installed from DP?

It wraps around the scoop better, higher quality. I helped to size the shooter lane protector, starting with a Houdini protector, and it turned out well. Does the job nicely. You buy directly from Cliffy.

Is Cliff also designed protectors for the ramps? Wonder especially about the Dude ramp. Although Barry hasn’t heard yet of broken ramps.

Agree.

One for both sides is needed!

Anybody experiencing a system error popup when the bash car fully opens up?

The cars stepper in test mode runs fine but as soon as it reaches the end of its stroke I get a system error popup on my display.

Not sure where to start. Any help is much appreciated

I havent yet but if I ever get a game in here I'll be able to do a lot of stuff I've wanted to do for it. I just sent a couple sets of shooter ejects out, the scoop has been done for some time.

Any chance your TBL will be back on route in the city ? (with or without the ashtray, I'll leave that one up to you !)

Yes, got the replacement subway yesterday actually so will be starting to work on it and then have it back out at Alamo where it used to be. I should see if Alamo might show TBL again maybe around 4/20?

Awesome ! You have just made my day, I'll be happy to fill your pockets with piles of coins !

#684 4 years ago

Has anyone hooked up their TBL to the internet? When I hook it up to my WiFi the TBL freezes after booting. If I remove the dongle it works again fine.

#685 4 years ago

What extra parts would anyone suggest to order for TBL?

#686 4 years ago

Making a spare/backup harddrive for another pinsider. If interested in buying one, PM me for details. It will come with current version of code (of course).

#687 4 years ago

Have brand new set of playfields and plastics if anyone is interested.

All,

I have number of people interested so I will keep the offer open until the weekend to get a count on number of harddrives I need to order.

Ping me by Saturday to get in.
Thx

All - first cloned drive is shipped to “original pinsider” who requested. They should have installed to confirm 100% all is good. Once I get the OK I will reply to all PMs.

Thx

FYI - not to late to get in. Just PM me. I have my “spare Lebowski PC” setup and in clone mode (so to speak). Once I complete this order of cloned drives there will be little interest to do again (since I will be tearing down the pc setup).

Mod will go for $37 shipped in USA.
-includes custom doobie, 3 leds flashing fire with mini-circuit board, enough wire and connectors to connect plug and play and shipping in USA.

You decide where to place in on the playfield!

Note, I will start making this mod if there is enough people ordering and I will not ramp up until mid-February. To many other pinball things going on right now!
