Quoted from taz:

The ball release in the lower playfield seems too slow and weak.

What are you talking about here? The saucer on the left? Or the bowling alley ball release? The bowling is just gravity powered. The solenoid just allows the ball to roll down the ramp, it doesn't propel it with any force.

The China man (not the preferred nomenclature) is in the rug mode which starts out with the Dude's head hitting the toilet. You need to keep hitting the rug to advance through the scene to that part. Him pissing on the rug is the image they used on the insert for that mode.

I also haven't seen anything with the Irish monk Dafino, the real reactionary Sheriff, or Knox Harrington, the video artist. Maybe in future code...

Activating the upper flipper during ball search would fix the getting stuck problem. I had it behind there once so far but the flipper was still active long enough to get it free.

Where exactly did you get it stuck when you tilted to free it? Behind the Dude's car or at the corner where it feeds down to come out of the scoop? I haven't had either of those happen yet but I'll keep track if they do. Making the outer loop on the mini playfield goes up and then back downhill, so it should have some speed coming back to the feed to the flipper. Strange...

And I also went up a few mS on the left flipper to make the Walter ramp a little easier.

My saucer eject calmly rolls down to the left flipper, I did not need to adjust that at all.

I did, however have to adjust the rug switch. I could cradle and hit it dead on with the left flipper (already turned up) and it wouldn't register. There is a microswitch held by two screws that needs to move slightly -away- from the rug to make it more sensitive. The whole mechanism hangs out of place when the playfield is vertical, so it takes a lot of adjusting, lowering the playfield, testing, readjusting, etc... It's dialed in now, and well worth the effort.

Make sure you guys wax the playfields real good. No need to destroy that nice clear coat on day one...

and double check the balls for any light rusting, they did make a transatlantic and then transcontinental voyage...

Unfortunately my experience with fed ex freight last month is I'm last on the guys route, so prob right at 5

Use this time to do some warm up stretches, this will probably be the heaviest game you will ever move

Quoted from JustLikeMe:

I have the screws all the way forward (ie towards the top of the playfield when raised)

having them forward like that will make it less sensitive. They need to move towards the bottom of the cabinet to be more sensitive. The switch opens to register a hit.
