Quoted from PinMonk:

Beatles store seems to have hit a wall with their second 10 pack. Haven't sold a single gold out of it for days, stuck at 7 left (the amount of golds in every 10 pack). The first block of 10 had steady progress selling a gold almost daily.

Well..after taxes, they are costing around $3k more than any other seller.

Quoted from PinMonk:

It's just some anti-hype reality to counter the initial non-stop shilling (that's finally calming down). Beatles store sales are factual and measurable and if the game with the outrageous pricing is aimed at Beatles fans who will supposedly buy and pay anything, it should be selling like hotcakes at the #1 Beatles fan store. It's not. So the price is likely way too much for what's offered and the machine may not see a second run to get to 1964 made since there won't be any Diamonds to sweeten the 10 packs.

It was my understanding that distributors didn't have to buy the 10-packs, they could order any number of Golds. That was just the only way to get a Diamond/Platinum. But they wouldn't get them until after the 10-pack orders shipped. So the 10-pack deal is over.
How many games (or 10-packs) do you think the Beatles store was able to order?

Mine arrived Wednesday. Fast and very fun with short ball times. Better than expected.

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

I saw this at the IAPPA Expo a couple of weeks ago. The playfield was littered with pock marks — it looked like The Beatles were performing on the surface of the moon. No way of knowing how much play it had seen, of course. But meanwhile, over at Chicago Gaming Co's booth, the Monster Bash tables all looked flawless.
I'm a Beatles fan, I had posters hanging up in my room as a kid, but I'm not sure how I feel about this one. 50 years too late, I guess. "Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four?" Probably not.

That's interesting because there's not a lot of things that causes airballs on it.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Dunno for sure, but they only burned one and started into the second 10 pack. So it seems likely they sold 2 Diamonds and 4 Platinums to go with the 8 Golds they've sold so far. I would guess that means they bought two ten packs.

I guess they got their money back off those 14 and the last 6 will be all profit. Sounds like a great investment to me.

Quoted from Hawks:

I like the little toys at the back of the Playfield, I didn’t realise the machine had these on it

Thanks. I added those.

#3040 5 years ago
Quoted from Hawks:

Cool, we’re did you get those, I’d like to add them to my up-coming machine also

You can find them on eBay or Amazon. Xmas ornaments

#3041 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Remind me never to ask you for investment advice.

Making $30k off a 10-pack doesn’t sound good to you? Or clearing 6 NIB machines if they’ve sold 14? (Now 15)

Quoted from Psw757:

What is on the display of the Beatles?

Some basic instructions for the non-pinheads. You can turn it on/off in the menu.

Quoted from Crile1:

Saw and played this game recently. Also watched one of the streams a little. I get that it is a "basic" game "not meant for us", but what I find terrible is the LCD content. Just still pictures and footage but not associated or in sync with the music with some splash animations included. Before the ball launches you hear screaming girls and see concert footage but no music until the ball is launched. Very poorly executed. Other than Star Wars and GOTG (if you excuse the voice work) Stern is really struggling with LCD content in my opinion.

You may not have realized that you can select your song/mode at the start of each ball. That's why the music doesn't start until you plunge.
I think the all custom LCD content done for the game is great.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

You can’t always select the 2 ball multiball at the start of your ball. Not sure why.

You have to complete one of the other modes first. If you haven't by the 3rd ball, you can select it.

Quoted from venom112:

Everyone keeps saying how good the music is. That much is assumed if you are Beatles fan. What I would like to know is how is it to shoot? How’s the rules, code etc. I have watched some videos but is it fun? Does it have last ability in your collection or is it too shallow?

I’ve put around 135 plays on mine. I love it. It’s fast and fun. Simple rules that’s not always simple to achieve. Lots of short ball times. The tweaks to the layout makes it shoot great. It’s a very satisfying shot to shoot up under the upper right flipper and back into the orbit.
Rules are well thought out and code seems complete. It’s a nice change compared to all my other games.
There’s a Holiday setting where the Beatles wish you a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year starting Dec 10th. (Beatles owners-make sure you set the date in Utilities for this to work correctly)

#3277 5 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Yeah beatles is way easier than TNA. Sure the lock shot CAN be easy on TNA, but good luck getting to a trap on the right to even have that shot. Beatles just doesn’t drain. The only risk of draining is down the middle. Just like the OG seawitch. Rarely falls in an outlane.

I wonder what pitch the game you played was at because that hasn’t been my experience at all. I’m at nearly 200 plays and the balls times are short and there’s a lot of left lane drains. Game is level, but I do like to increase the pitch on my games.

#3281 5 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Play better! Haha. When we streamed it at Pincinnati we were playing with some solid players. Bubble level was way at the top, so I say pushing 7 degrees probably.

Yeah I timed some of Jack Danger's stream and he had several games under 5 mins.

#3292 5 years ago

The modes are time based, so if you complete the mode, you wouldn't get to hear the entire song anyway. The times posted above are when the song loops, so the song doesn't really end if say you were to cradle the ball which pauses the timer.
With their songs being so short, I'd rather have the seamless loop than the song stopping and restarting.

Quoted from LOTR_breath:

Played about 20 games on location. The overall package looks damn impressive in person. But I'm really not digging the spinning disk in the center. Spins the ball down the middle and down the outlanes way too much. Having the game ship without rubbers on the outlane dividers only makes this worse. At least we won't have to worry about long game times during our launch party this Friday. Feels like ball times a super short to me.

The outlane rubbers come with it and I tried them for about 10 games before taking them back off. Seem to make the left side drain more and the ball actually got hung up between the right rubber and the shooter lane plastic. I've only had the disc throw the ball down the middle a few times. My gripe would be the center stops causing airballs, but I made a fix for that with a piece of lexan mounted to the plastic extending out over the drops.

No airballs here.

New Code!

V1.08 - December 13, 2018
=======================
- Song Super Jackpot shot now scores a sneak-in bonus if it is made while at least 1 of the FAB targets is still up.
- Added display effect for secret skill shot
- Added Taxman multiball - enabled when all songs have reached level 5 (All My Loving requires 3 jackpots)
- Song selection is allowed from the flipper buttons as long as the ball is detected in the shooter lane.
- Beatlemania multiball now defaults to 3 balls, Taxman multiball defaults to 4 balls.
- Record stops spinning when entering test mode

#3385 5 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

No Outland rubbers. I was just on today. GC and then GC again back to back. No slouches in Chicago either so I think those are solid scores.
Game needs more depth as I made the end three times in 20 games. Hopefully code gets a bit more to shoot for. Honestly it is really fun to shoot on route but being a mode based game instead of a points based game like og seawitch actually hurts it. After ‘beating ‘ the game three times in looses a little appeal for me.

You made it to Taxman MB three times? Or Beatlemania MB?

#3394 5 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

Taxman. Beatlemania pretty much every other game as that seems to happen when you do good in any mode?
Taxman is completing all modes then starting wiz mode, correct That is what I did 3x in 20 jab games

There’s two Wizard modes now since the update on Thursday. Playing through (but not completing) all 5 modes will start Beatlemania MB Mania (which plays the song Hard Day’s Night during the multiball) prior to the update, it was a 4-ball mb, now it’s a 3-ball. (after that mb is over, Taxman plays as a default until another mode or ball is started)

Completing all 5 song levels (getting 3 jackpots during the 2-ball mb All My Lovin’) will give you Taxman MB.

I think the Beatlemania you’re referring to during any mode is making the loops spelling out Beatlemania where the magnet grabs the ball at the top and give you a random award.

Based on your score, I’d bet you got to Beatlemania MB. I wonder if the game had the latest code?

Still a nice score and I bet it’s doing well on route.

Quoted from Whysnow:

someone said it was externally contracted? It appears they have not listed anyone attributed for code.
Only Gomez as design and Franchi for art.

Dean Grover was the software programmer/rules guy. He worked for Bally/Williams before Stern. Jerry Thompson did the sounds. The LCD animations was outsourced to a person that does a lot of work with slot machines.

Special When Lit podcast posted these pics on Facebook from a visit to Stern yesterday.
