Quoted from delt31:

So the majority of you know I think this game is an absolute low life cash grab disgrace of a way to take advantage of a coveted license. Shame on Stern.
I mentioned yesterday that if the publicity helps pinball at least it's bringing in something good.
Fast forward to today and my mother and law calls me to say she heard a Beatles pinball game was going to be released soon and how exciting is that? She has absolutely no idea about pinball, never plays them yet somehow this news crossed her radar. She was so impressed how they are releasing five songs and how it's being released with three models etc. It was pretty amazing. She is right in the targeted age group....62.
Just thought I would share something positive amongst this toxic despicable release..... Haha

Your latter is why Stern released it. Seawitch has more shots then most modern pins. There is 18 individual shots and if you added rules you could make a pretty complex game. The crying on here is amazing. Charmin ultra in full glory on this one. In the end , it doesn't matter. Its not my "bag" , but I bet they sell alot of them. And that is good for pinball. Non-pinball people buy strictly on theme. I always tell people...If you have a better answer; then go open your own pinball company. Because frankly the market is about as good as it gets in terms of demand, parts and resources.

My biggest issue with hypothetical Stern classic remakes is there's zero chance they'll play like the originals. Star Gazer with modern flippers & drop targets? I'll pass.

Yancy, You are correct. They cannot play like classic stern of old because 1) drop targets (new stern's suck), 2) spinner switch (new stern's have a heavy ass metal blade) 3) Flippers (not the right snap). These components kill the deal. Adding a spinning disk in the middle of a Seawitch playfield. Someone puked out that idea. But hey it will probably sell cause it will still have more shots then any modern WPC.

Stern saw what TNA looked like and said well shit, if they can do it, we can too... High $$$ and not much going on. I would rather have a standard MBR for 6k. Comeon guys, am i missing something?

The Seawitch playfield is classic. If they have incorporated some of the new features with rules. Again it still have more individual shots then any WPC game of the 90's.

You gotta love this place with all the Monday Morning Quarterbacks. Gottlieb disappeared years ago. Same for Bally, Williams. Here we are years later and the only old timer to survive is Stern. Good times. Bad times. Stern has been through it all.
And you think you have the chops to tell the man how to run his business?

Exactly. Well said.

I remember how Tron was "just a Funhouse rehash" to the peanut gallery. Until like, they actually played it.

Yup. Everyone was so anti-TRON it was a joke. Now its considered a premium game. Like I said. This game will have more shots then any WPC 90's game and will probably end up being a really good game. Seawitch with improved rules is no joke.
