Quoted from spfxted:

There are The Beatles......and then....
...all other bands...

If you take away all the horrible McCartney songs, and all that boyband early shit no one has listened to for the last 50 years, the have a small but decent catalog.

#56 5 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Yes, this should be about the psychedelic, LSD and other drug induced, anti establishment years.

Absolutely.

#58 5 years ago

Well you can usually get away with trippy drug shit for the whole fam. I mean, kids shows are terrifying these days other than Daniel Tiger that goes on in my house non stop.

#67 5 years ago

Gotta be the most fucking obnoxious first post I've seen in years.

-2
#93 5 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

Where they played in dives so bad their art house friends were in fear of attending.

Wow, sounds aboot as edgy as *nsync dropped 'Bye Bye Bye,' i think they were drinking beer then too....crazy.

Quoted from DS_Nadine:

(Btw. you can change "Beatles" for "Thunderbirds" also.)

Ummm no. The BEatles are old but the most well respected famous band in the world (other than iron maiden appearently).
Thunderbirds are some puppets some old people kind of remember.

-1
#95 5 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

That's ...deep?

Yes it misses the passion of your post, but the outcome is aboot the same.

Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

This bears repeating, in response to TheLaw ...

We get it, you're super old; congrats on still being alive.

I'll give McCarteny Eleanor Rigby, and of course half of Day in the Life.
SGT peppers aint bad and that's one I hadn't accounted for, and I'll throw in little help from friends.

The rest of everything he's ever made is just blah, meh, or whatever boring word you wan't to use. So 4.5 out on that many albums... I think Harrison has more; And of course Lennon is a master, no argument there.

#121 5 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

What Lennon songs impressed you?

Many; just such a dynamic writer; eXpecially when compared to the old ho hum everyday man McCartney stuff.
Anything from Norwegian Wood to all of his Sgt Pepper, his Abby rd stuff is good.

Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Lol dude. Scoreboard. Just scoreboard.

#139 5 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

It’s been posted a few times by the usual reliable sources here on pinside.

Also posted by many reliable sources Lonnie was shitcanned long ago so whom knows.

IF they actually made a classic Stern layout I think this is all worth it....im not going g to buy a kapow anyway.

#218 5 years ago
Quoted from riggy469:

The bigger travisty is that supposedly it’s centered on the Hard Days Night era,...

Uff

#220 5 years ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

Anyone care to explain where these new rumors come from ...

They came from Pinside so let's just act like it's true

#245 5 years ago

4 flippers, spinner, 11 drops...I'm good with that.

#279 5 years ago
Quoted from pinballaddicted:

Tesla could learn a lot from all the pinball companies.

That's terrifying

#333 5 years ago
Quoted from jgentry:

No amount of cheaply done bling features can justify that.

Wwll you might be alone in that assessment

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/cgc-game-3-delayed/page/44#post-4641205

But honestly, if you told me I could have a reskinned BDK or a Reskinned Seawitch, I would have to stop and think.

29
#347 5 years ago

Well the good is its seawitch, the bad is everything else. That's the ugliest goddamn thing ive seen in 30 years. Farfalla is laughing at this thing

#381 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Seawitch is a great game so not sure why this won't be.

Often when playing seawitch I wish it had a spinning disk and magnet in the middle. Ahhh the thousands of extra dollars; I get it now!

#399 5 years ago
Quoted from cscmtp:

what a turd...but still looks better than Avengers lol

Man, for me I think Acengers looks better I'd have to go back to Elvis for this bad...but that's another particular pop culture scheme I can't stand as well.

#400 5 years ago
Quoted from TechnicalSteam:

What person in right mind would buy a rethemed Sea Witch?

I would if it wasn't priced at 8 grand, and didn't look like this.

Quoted from kermit24:

I think they can find 1,964 Beatles fans with cash. They will not be many Pinsiders

That's always been the question with these games...I thin kthis one will finally solve it one way or the other.

#457 5 years ago
Quoted from Krsmith9:

Seawitch with added features? Could be tons of fun to play. Will be hard to justify at the inevitable price though.

Saving my pennies for the Vault Edition

#464 5 years ago
Quoted from mystman12:

When I first saw it I thought it looked kind of cool, ...

Always 5 o'clock somewhere

#535 5 years ago
Quoted from Mogg:

This is where the new customers look away for a different hobby.

New Customers have a shitload to choose from...this is only 1 game that ins;t being marketed to them anyway

#542 5 years ago
Quoted from DCFAN:

So, can we have a Beatles pin that is marketed to pinball people then? That is the problem right there. Wasted.

A valid complaint.

#622 5 years ago
Quoted from FalconPunch:

Not sure exactly what people where expecting.

Something that didn't look like a 10K florescent dildo.

13
#643 5 years ago

The sad thing is the shittier the pins the funnier everyone is. There's like grade A posts from everyone coming in rapid fire style. Good work all around...even the shilling is top notch

#655 5 years ago
Quoted from John_I:

Pinside is its usual predictable self. LOL at least I am getting used to it.

Took you 14 years huh?

#689 5 years ago
Quoted from unigroove:

3. Watch people change their opinion on the game, which by then will be sold out.

Did BM66 sell out?

#704 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

The limited editions did yes, with little trouble at all.

Gotcha thanks. I don't keep up with production numbers at all.

#772 5 years ago

Video is seriously horrible.
Does Octoberfest have a secret Ben Heck angry boner midnight mode?

#774 5 years ago
Quoted from taylor34:

Why not make a Seawitch or some other classic stern remake with the updates and see if that sells first?

I think they are going for an end around on this one.
Big monies first, try to secure some big cash, then see if the classic layouts have enough interest to stand on their own?
Just a guess... I mean I hope that's what's going one. IF you were just going to release a classic Stern... It wouldn't he seawitch right? Still low on the cash scale.

#1002 5 years ago
Quoted from Frax:

You STFU. Farfalla is awesome. Unlike this.

Ground Zero of clown puking I'll give it that.

#1268 5 years ago
Quoted from yancy:

Should be cheap(er) with Beatles covering the playfield redesign costs.

Oh I think it's leading g to classic sterns for sure... But cheaper? I doubt that.
Is a seawith worth 5600-5800? Not for me. Some other of the bigger titles maybe though.

#1271 5 years ago
Quoted from PoMC:

Any of you guys ever get offline or get tired of typing the same thing over and over?

Haha... Thanks Mr original.

Quoted from yancy:

Star Gazer with modern flippers & drop targets? I'll pass.

Don't worry, the drops are only on the LE's for 8k

#1455 5 years ago
Quoted from Sinestro:

Exactly. But Pinsiders like to think THEY know how to run the pinball business!
How DARE you mock them, sir? How DARE you?

This post is pure Pinside. A very fair thought followed by complete madness.

#1552 5 years ago
Quoted from tamoore:

Levi is about a 6x multiplier smarter and 12x bonus more clever than the K guy.

And he's played pinball before... Which some see as a plus.

#1562 5 years ago

Uff my eyes my eyes!!! Put it away...stop...beatles..best...looking....pin...ever

#1566 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I believe I can out run Adrian Peterson in the 50 yard dash. Doesn't make it so unfortunately.

I don't know, that long run he had this week looked really slow and hobbled... But after re watching it a few times he is outunning people.

#2277 5 years ago

Haha! Sales, design, defense or not I love that reply.

#2537 5 years ago
Quoted from luvthatapex2:

I can't see new posts on this thread. Is anyone else seeing that? It takes me back to the first post.......

Until I just saw yours i had the same issue

#2542 5 years ago

Disk seems like it's always spinning huh?

#2550 5 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

Video link doesn’t seem to be working.

Worked for me and the person seems to be entering a name for a song mode.

#2667 5 years ago
Quoted from ASOA:

I recieved 50 downvotes. Not sure why there is so much hate on pinside. ?

I think it was listing every beatles song that got you the downvotes.

#2672 5 years ago

I'm not overly surprised by Ice changing his mind.
The main issues with the game are it looks like shit, and it's expensive (or at least I think that's what it was) . Well ice isn't short of monies and plenty of games aren't the best looking; so after simmering down it just sort of becomes another game.

#2713 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

They had 4, then 3, then 1, then today they had 7 again, which means a new 10 pack.

It means we've all been going in there and loading their cart with these machines at diff'rent times of the day

#2717 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

....(the number goes down as they sell them). ....

Ahhh I get it. It goes down until it goes up.

#2751 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It's like groundhog day but funnier.

Its a tad more annoying... like when people call it "Groundhog's Day,"

#2754 5 years ago
Quoted from fosaisu:

Let’s get this “Edge of Tomorrow” thing going and solve your possessive nightmare.[quoted image]

I didn't know if that's how I should spell it because I don't know if that's what people mean. They could mean multiple groundhogs?

Anyway, edge of tomorrow sucked so I'll take a "Happy Death Day!"

#2759 5 years ago

I thought all the designers were sad seeing all their games clown puked and covered in glue and stopped coming?

#2767 5 years ago
Quoted from fosaisu:

I'm pretty disappointed in you thelaw -- any movie that generated that many gifs of Tom Cruise looking old and confused in a helmet can't be all bad.

If your gif was animated I might get your point. Unless they changed a setting and I have to enable it now?
EDIT: Nope...now whom's disappointing?!

Bill Paxton, finally something we can all agree on.

#2769 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I still have no clue how to post a fucking gif here. Anybody want to school me?

make sure you select "original image size" or whatever the verbage is in the drop down box EDIT: "Original Size (no scaling)"

EDIT2: apparently, you must select original size BEFORE you add the image
BP.gifBP.gif

#2780 5 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

that does not bode well for getting any sort of updates..

Why not? I would think paying someone else to do the work Stern obviously can't do quick enough sounds great to me.

#2784 5 years ago
Quoted from DBLM:

For the guys using "whom" and trying to be sophisticated...

You use it every time. Do a search.

#2786 5 years ago

I meant a pinside search

#2791 5 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

what is the last externally contracted code they had on a game?
I would think that since this is "sold out" and "not for us" that 1.04 is already considered done or close to it???

Oh I have no idea...I'm the one person on Pinside whom doesn't knowm anything aboot the inner-workings at Stern, or what code is, what it does, how it works, nothing.
What I do know is people are still crying for Stern updates from games that are years old so how much worse could it be? Can you just say "here are the things we want done, go code this for us?"
Some people say it's a long involved situation and then people "working in the code industry" say it takes 5 minutes.

#2897 5 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

... that’s the worrying thing.

The part that worries me more is 100 jackasses would be lined up to buy it and think it's awesome.

#2933 5 years ago

For those that have played, how does it feel with newer thin flippers? I guess the whole thing just feels diff'rent becasue of tech but I'm really interested in going from the classic to modern stern flipper size.
Seems like sling area is more modern as well in regards to cradling position and the shortness of Classic Sterns...or maybe it just seems that way with smaller flippers?

#2974 5 years ago
Quoted from DCFAN:

What is the purpose of the upper left flipper in the game? ?

Same as in Seawitch

#2976 5 years ago

You can hit the middle targets, send it up to the pops/targets, hold it up so the ball falls diff'rently out of loop etc

#2979 5 years ago

Which was juts a re-gate of #Wozgate

EDIT: The real question is was #wozgate always just a re-gate of #Seawithgate to begin with?

#3007 5 years ago

"Yes I can help you with your problem, with whom am I speaking?"
"This is Hilton..."

Quoted from Whysnow:

....Had stern service rep end a call....

13
#3048 5 years ago

Pretty sure all Stern LEs and every JJP machine is above 95% of pinheads budgets.

-1
#3067 5 years ago

The music IS horrible....buuuuut Can;t imagine 65 beatles is much better

#3082 5 years ago
Quoted from Psw757:

It’s amazing how they really struggle with toppers.

I'm amazed people are still so obsessed with Stern toppers knowing how much they struggle with them.

#3138 5 years ago
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Than your imagination must be pretty lame. How about listening to ‘65 era Beatles and then commenting. Otherwise your just being ignorant...Informed opinions matter. Uninformed? Not so much.

Honestly, are you fucking drunk?

Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Kinda like Whysnow ...

Ok that's it, if that isn't a personal attack I don't know what is; I need a mod over here right stat now!

#3145 5 years ago
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Tru, that was a harsh comparison. My bad!

Trust me i know every song on the game and have been hearing them my whole life, I meant " I don't know" which I would rather listen to betwixt beatles and Maiden.

#3186 5 years ago

Just so everyone knows I've been noticing the amount of "obtuse" references and putting them in my cart to keep track.

#3205 5 years ago

Ha...bobble heads are a good one.

#3210 5 years ago
Quoted from RebelGuitars:

You have to complete one of the other modes first. If you haven't by the 3rd ball, you can select it.

#3344 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

It's fun. What do ya want.

I want to know how it felt vs classic sterns with thinner flippers and more ability to trap the ball and what seems to be a bigger area betwixt the flippers and slings.
Thanks.
