This is for real? Seriously!?! If so. My goodness what a horrible promo video. Game looks cheap and slow. I love the Beatles, but this is a hard pass.

@FalconPunch, as a Beatles fan (and with a daughter who has also recently discovered them), I was nervous about the Seawitch info. But was hoping that song library, art, and maybe some interesting changes to the playfield would change my mind. From the looks of this promo, Stern has failed in every category, except cash grabbing. I'd rather play my 1964 EM with Beatles music in the background. And my EM looks to play faster, too! So, that is where the "meltdown" comes from.
I really cannot understand why some people keep comparing this pin and justifying its cost with TNA. TNA had original layout, original theme, original music, original mech, industry setting light show, and a unique backstory with Scott's homebrew creation. So totally different. Plus TNA will be more "limited" due to it's true boutique nature. Apples and oranges, fellas. This is an old layout with Beatles stickers pasted on it. I believe I could play any Seawitch era SS pin with Beatles blaring in the background and have the same experience.
@MapleSyrup, I get the sarcasm, but here is my reason for adding a negative comment regarding this pin. People say, don't like, don't buy it. Well, I'm not. But some people will. A lot, probably. I love movies, but hate it when tons of people shell out cash to see the latest Micheal Bay flick. All it does is justify Hollywood to continue making bad, cash grab movies. If Stern rakes in the cash on this one, then do not expect anything better. The next theme they give this treatment to may be your dream theme. I mean, imagine if they re-theme another early SS game into Superman 78? Man, that would suck. Just like watching Michael Bay ruin Transformers. One man's opinion, here. Take it at that. But really kind of want Stern to have a box office failure soon so that they are forced to rework their formula.
Quoted from jgentry:What if they are just pinball machines and I dont have dream themes or grails or games bolted to my floor? Can i buy a Beatles pin or do i have to help you show them they are wrong?
You HAVE to help! Lol. Just kidding. It's just pinball.
Saw and played this game recently. Also watched one of the streams a little. I get that it is a "basic" game "not meant for us", but what I find terrible is the LCD content. Just still pictures and footage but not associated or in sync with the music with some splash animations included. Before the ball launches you hear screaming girls and see concert footage but no music until the ball is launched. Very poorly executed. Other than Star Wars and GOTG (if you excuse the voice work) Stern is really struggling with LCD content in my opinion.
If this game is made to be selling to mainly non-pinball enthusiasts, then I would doubt any future code updates are planned. If this is marketed to the Beatles' generation (my parents) good luck having them figure out how to update that game, let alone even realize there are updates available. My guess is that this code, like the game, are one and done. Game was never meant to be for pinheads. Meant to be simple and for the masses like EM's and early SS. And those never got new code or depth.
