There goes my data plan...
Quoted from Cgpinhead:Seawitch is an amazing game, if this is a carbon copy with a Beatles theme count me in! My dad always said to me that when buying a car, if you have to ask the price you probably can’t afford it so don’t buy it. Well pinball machines I feel the same way. If you haven’t played this game yet, don’t bother bashing please. If you’ve played it and have an opinion, bash away or compliment it and please do share. There are a lot of us buyers (that don’t post) that really don’t care about the price and would love to hear what you think of the game! P.S. this game selling out is a no brainer. Just trying to decide, platinum or diamond?
Well, aren't you the fortunate one.
I bought the game yesterday. Have been playing it all morning. The Beatles are one of my favorite bands and after playing this at IAAPA I went ahead and picked this up.

First I’ve noticed the score display, sweet! Wonder what happens when you roll it over at 99,999,999? Might take you a few weeks to get there.

I did not realize that the cabinet sits much lower than a traditional modern Stern game.
It is not a different cabinet but the back legs screw in higher to have less slope. Makes the game sit lower.

And this is the preview pic we were treated to. The colors look much better on yours than the PR pic.
Nice carpet, BTW.
What are your thoughts on it pinballaddict78?
Just looking at the rules card and playfield in general, is there really enough going on to keep up the interest and longevity in this title?
It seems that reaching a hard days night Multiball is the wizard mode and with only 5 songs to play in order to get there, it maybe a very easy game to “complete”
I really like the magnetic spinning record disc, and drop targets.
Pin looks much better than I thought it would.
Probably for players that beat Deadpool within playing it a few times you can probably get to this wizard most just as easy but you have to keep the ball going and finish and qualify modes to get to the wizard. Not super easy. Maybe if this was the only pin you had it would not be a marathon game every day. But in a line up it is a fast and fun solid state with more speed game.
Another cool touch is when you have a ball in the shooter lane the audio is screaming fans and video of the band preparing backstage until the ball is plunged.
I’m an okay player and have a Beatles gold on order
Have you reached AHDN Multiball yet?
Each song looks to have cool modes attached to them
No I haven’t. I am a middle of the road player. I also have not cleared the Stern employees like Zac who put scores on this game so I obviously haven’t even got initials in yet.
Quoted from DCFAN:I did not realize that the cabinet sits much lower than a traditional modern Stern game.
Sure will mess up the OCD line up's

I don't think this is correct, if you like at the where the side blades would go there is a definite difference in height between the two and the play fields look like the same pitch based on photo.
More CLASSIC era look. I hope any way.

Since they have to be dropped in order, how do the 1-9-6-4 drop targets work?
Quoted from iceman44:I'm excited to get this pin! A relaxing fun "beer drinker" after playing Alien or TWD. And it looks phenomenal.
Looks fast for beer impaired vision! Lol
Quoted from pinballaddict78:Look at where both legs are screwed in on the back of the cabinet. You will see the difference.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Nice catch... So what about the top of the cabinet where the head is attached.. that must be different too to keep the head vertical.

Congrats, Ice! I think you will thoroughly enjoy this one!

What is the height of the machine from the ground? The Beatles flyer says it's 75.5" high however so does the GB flyer so I am thinking the Beatles flyer is incorrect.

They should get rid of the zeros to the left of the scores - it makes it really hard to quickly look up and see your (and other) scores. Just make them blank reels.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:The score reels are simulated on the LCD. So, how come all the numbers don't all line up? Number 6 bottom left is too high?
Is it done deliberately to look like the rat trap reels that hardly ever line up right?!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Has Kapow’s web site been updated yet?!?!
When is stern going to address heightgate?!?!?!
Biggest Beatles pricing scandal has gone largely unnoticed - metalsgate. Stern is upside down on platinum prices, with no plans to hedge bets or correct course. Should they have named the basic Beatles pin platinum since it is worth so little, followed by gold and then diamond? Did Stern check commodity prices before calculating the bill of materials or deciding on a naming convention? Gold is expected to continue to be worth 50% more than platinum for the foreseeable future, so should Distributors be lowering the price of Beatles platinums to less than golds, based on the value of underlying metals used? Distributors set pricing and if they were to adjust platinums to $5k, the market would be in equilibrium. Any platinum owners here feel enraged by this sham?

edit - it also appears this release may have been downsized 10% from a modern pinball machine. Not quite a Safe Cracker footprint, but definitely not Star Wars shoe size either. This was difficult to determine, as packaging lists serving size as 1 pinball machine.

I’d skip Abbey Road, that’s late Beatles and this game is all early Beatles. Same with the first one. The rainbow Help one is probably most on-point era wise.

You are trying to compare value-added prices to spot metals pricing. It does not work that way. Years ago, I was needing 12" of platinum wire for a project. At the time platinum was around $450.00 per ounce. I called all the local jewelry shops ( to those who think used car dealers and lawyers are crooks--these guy learn their lessons from the jewelers) and kept getting quoted $400.00 to $450.00 per 12" of wire---"depending on the price of platinum".
I finally called a little jewelry shop I always drove by on the way to work that had a sign in the window that said, " If you bought your gold chains somewhere else, you paid too much".
As noted, all of the other jewelry shops were quoting me $400.00-$450.00 for 12" of wire "depending on the price of platinum". This little street-side shop quoted me $60.00 for that 12" of wire !
Once an once of platinum of gold or platinum gets drawn into a roll of wire it becomes value-added with a price that is worth more than a raw ounce of the metal. I don't know how many feet of wire an ounce of platinum can be drawn to, but at $60.00 per foot, ten feet of platinum wire would be $600.00. Had I rolled over to the jewelers price of $400.00 for 12" of wire, ten feet would be $4000.00! Don't let that jeweler bend you over; Next time you buy a diamond ring for your lady love, bring a sharp pencil and get ready to bargain hard.
I realize you are being tongue-in-cheek with your Stern valuations
So lets dance
Cheek to cheek
Quoted from hassellcastle:I’ve seen the topper Stern is offering. It fits the games theme very well
Do you have pictures?
Sorry y'all I have no pictures to share.
We were shown the topper during a webinar presented by Stern to its distributors.
It was asked of all those participating in the webinar to not take screenshots.
As stated above it ties in very well with the overall look of the machine.
I'm sure Stern will make a formal announcement with pricing, pics, etc. about the toppers soon enough as the design
has already been completed.
ASOA I thought you were a Stern distributor too?
As a side note, the Beatles released a new 50th anniversary White Album collection in various formats a week ago. The 3 versions premiered on Amazon at #1, #3, and #15. They each cost over $80.00. Today, they are at #5, #8 and #41. The original White Album is #72.
Quoted from ASOA:Any topper suggestions yet?

I'll put red LEDs in their eyes and wire them to the pop bumpers.

Don't do that. Make a base with several sets of "spot" lights and hook those up to the pops.
Quoted from cottonm4:Make a base with several sets of "spot" lights and hook those up to the pops.
Or maybe a small solenoid under each and have them bop along with the pops

There’s people that would do this and sell it as a mod for $100+, that’s the worrying thing.
Quoted from J85M:... that’s the worrying thing.
The part that worries me more is 100 jackasses would be lined up to buy it and think it's awesome.
Quoted from PinMonk:Beatles store hit a wall with the second 10 pack. Haven't sold a single gold in a week.
Why would they when one can simply google it and see that the Beatles store is overpriced by $2,000 for the Gold?
Quoted from PinMonk:Beatles store hit a wall with the second 10 pack. Haven't sold a single gold in a week.
It seems that many are wanting to call this pin a failure because it has not sold out in a week. $8,000.00 items take some time to sell.
So, let me ask you this: How many need to be sold in what time frame for people to judge it a success? Do they all need to be in people's basements in 30 days? 60 days? 90 days? What is your number?
