Quoted from luvthatapex2:

I'm thinking the magnet at the top of the playfield holds the ball for a few seconds to start each 'mode'.
I guess the spinning magnet in the center could also be used. Looking forward to some clever programming.

This is assuming it’s all mode based music. You would think there is at least one track or selectable tracks at game start/ball launch like Aerosmith,Acdc etc...until you start one of the 5 modes.

The flake powder coat across all models looks pretty nice. Honestly the game does look kinda cool, its just the crazy high price considering the lack of features that is disappointing. Also, Stern mentions 9 songs in the game.

I like the gold one, looks great. Clearly that's not leftover WWE mustard stock. Cool sparkle on the apron as well. Game looks much nicer with these hi res pics (shocker!)

Although the Diamond one with authentic signatures by all four beatles looks great. Who knew Yoko could do a John Hancock?

NO FARKING COIN DOOR!!!!!!!

#2016 5 years ago

Actually game does look like fun!

#2017 5 years ago

Looks great to me. Pretty cool looking games.

Yeah you gotta pay extra for one, as per Kamikow! What do you think, 200 bucks maybe?

I didn’t hear him say that. My distro assured me it would have a coin door yesterday.

If all the wiring is for it right there where the coin door should be, I'd suspect an easy swap in for aboot that much...

No topper?? No Ringo shooter rod??!

Quoted from Psw757:

On the podcast Joe was on, he said "sure. you can add a coin door if you want", or something very similar to that effect....

I agree and the rules look good as well, 4 ball multi ball will be interesting!

In his Aussie interview he said "it's an option. If you want one you'll get one, if you don't need one you won't get one."

Who knows...I took it to mean it's an "option." Guess we'll find out shortly.

The second podcast from head to head, I did not hear him say that. He was emphatic about it having them and they want these on location as well as collectors.

I’m going to listen again.

What?

No WWE trim?

Color me disappointed

Gold trim looks much better than early photos.

Now for price??

#2029 5 years ago

Keith just confirmed there is code for coinage.

game exchange has them listed with no price either (only game listed like that on their website)

so looks like distros can charge what they want per the rumors

Quoted from PanzerFreak:

We don't know the prices yet and with all models beeing the same I don't care if the Diamond Edition is 1 Million bucks.

If it's usual Premium pricing it's about ok.
You shouldn't forget forget: 11 Drop Targets, 2 Magnets & Disc, Art Blades, Colored Apron, Custom Powder Coat...

#2032 5 years ago

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.

#2033 5 years ago
Quoted from Jvspin:

Sadly I propably can't.

#2034 5 years ago

I can afford it just fine. Wanting to afford it is a completely 'nother thing......

I've heard $7600 shipped for gold edition.

The amount of drop targets is great. Can a lot of things be done rule wise with drops? Yes. Will Stern take advantage of all of the drop targets with a variety of unique rules through code? That remains to be seen.

#2037 5 years ago
Quoted from PanzerFreak:

If true that's really not bad.

But, as proven in every single MBr thread, Stern would do well to say it's $7300 since apparently nobody here counts shipping as part of the cost of a pinball machine.

The games look great and I think the artwork looks fun and cool.

Price doesn't matter to me at all since I'm not interested in buying. NIB pinball price complaints = I don't care at all, doesn't affect my world.

I also prefer the non-coin slot doors with the Beatles decal. I'd prefer all my games in the house to not have coin mechs and instead have a nice decal where the coin slots would've been. I never have dropped a quarter or inserted a dollar bill in any of my games, so the coin door complaints fall on deaf ears here.

#2039 5 years ago

The Gold edition artwork looks the best to me and the game looks pretty good. Still, over $7k is a lot. Will withhold final judgment until I get a chance to play it and see how fun it is and how well implemented the sound and video are.

If the entire package is done well, I wouldn't be surprised if sales ramp up as people play it and discover how fun an 80's layout like Sea Witch can be.

#2040 5 years ago

I like the look.

If ANY distributor is reading and has one for normal SternPRO pricing then I am interested. I know rumors are 7k plus, but rumors are also that distributors buying a 10 pack are able to set any pricing structure they want. I foresee that there are big spenders willing to pay high dollar for the Diamond and PLatinum, but good shot that golds will be sitting at the current asking prices. If you want to reach out, you know how to find me. Willing to sign NDA and not disclose price or your info so nobody gets in trouble with big papa.

I have games for possible trade or straight cash.

Makes sense, but to me, nothing says "home version" more than the lack of a coin door.

It's not exactly the same as Beatles will have the place for a coin door.

With a shipped price of $7600 for the gold edition that matches the Batman 66 premium shipped price. Which of those two games offers more value? Features wise both actually seem pretty comparable. Batman 66 though will likely always have more code and depth compared to Beatles which in my opinion adds a lot to the "value" factor.

True, but none of that helps people who would prefer a Beatles pin.

#2044 5 years ago

Any word if there will be an official teaser video?

Bm66 does nothing for me so Beatles has more fun and value is subjective. How many Batman’s did they make?

#2046 5 years ago
Quoted from jgentry:

Who cares about Mustang's, more Beatles, less carguments and blathering about what is mostly a low end sports cars turned into a sedan. Start a thread about Mustang's in the off topic section and have it out.
I'm excited for the release today. Waiting for some detailed pics and finalized pricing. Haven't completely ruled out getting one but it's hard to pay that much when a Munster's premium is right around the corner and cheaper.

I agree. Lets keep it on track....

Last I know still in production .

#2048 5 years ago

I think it looks cool. Definitely not for me, money wise, but does make me want to try and sea witch.

#2049 5 years ago

For a guy that has been emphatically claiming this is not a game for pinball collectors, Kaminkow is hitting the pinball podcast interview circuit pretty hard. Think he’s done 3 now. That’s verging on over saturation in the world of pinball media.
