Count yourself, is there anyone in here for a LE or SLE? I don’t think Stern will sell 250 LE and SLE at those prices. Even 7.5k for a classic game is rough, maybe a hardcore beatle fan..
So I don’t think a distributor will take risk to buy a LE or SLE for stock, ready to ship. Would be Better to not think about resale when you’d buy this one.

Quoted from Frax:

You STFU. Farfalla is awesome. Unlike this.

Ground Zero of clown puking I'll give it that.

Quoted from vid1900:

Old women are not really known for buying pinball machines or jukeboxes.

Yup, but I had to ask.
I also posed the same question to her crotchety Husband who was a few years older and he said:
They still make pinball machines?
Who the hell is Stern Pinball?!?
(Where’s Bally, Williams and Gottlieb?!?)
Are they made in China?
Rubber Soul is more my Beatles wheelhouse.
Wait,
You’re not a robot taking a survey for China are you???
Honey! Get Old Glory on the phone, we have a situation here!

#1004 5 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Why? We've seen plenty of Batman 66 games on location, and that one was a pro or Premium (depends on your outlook) for beyond LE money. The cheapest Batman is $8500!

Raleigh confirming:

Boxcar does everything in LE, has even JJP LEs, has BM66, ACDC Luci original, you name it.
All on route and all in perfect condition at all times.

Batman '66 SLEs were sold straight from Stern. No distributors involved. And the support sucked. Was worse support than a regular LE or Premium, which is usually pretty good.

I'm thinking either getting a Beatles LE, or seven MBr's....

Quoted from tamoore:

I'm thinking either getting a Beatles LE, or seven MBr's....

But for those of us with space for only one pin, the Beatles LE is the obvious choice.

#1008 5 years ago
Quoted from benheck:

Elvis merch is dead as a doornail and he's only 10 years older than Beatles.
How is it dumb to suggest a target demo is too old?

Elvis as a brand hasn't been taken much care of compared to the Beatles.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Because it isn't the Beatles?

I'm sure they said the same thing with Star Wars. At any rate, I'm not the target market for this but there is still truth in your quote. Beatles stuff sells. Time will tell if they got this one right.

#1011 5 years ago
Quoted from WeLoveScott:

I think the pin looks super fun, but I have one question you might weigh in on.
To me, when I saw the art for the back glass, it looks very pixelated - like an enlarged photoshop file, rather than a smooth artwork.
See the freeze frame below (a bit blurry where I paused the video, but hopefully you see what I'm seeing.) Or, I might be wrong! I mostly
see it on the faces.
Can this be right for a 10K +or- machine? [quoted image]

That is not pixelated that is a blown up moiree effect, referring to older printing techniques and pop art.

Short: It's intentional and called art.

Don’t forget:
Will this look good next to my Porsche, Bulldog and 70” 4K TV?

I sold my Porsche, my Bulldog is long gone, but my TV is 123"

#1013 5 years ago
Quoted from PanzerFreak:

$7500 for the basic model of an already old basic rethemed game is a game changer? I don't see it. $5k would do it, maybe $6k. For $7500 though why not buy a Stern premium that has a ton of more features?

Because it's not The Beatles.

Duh.

#1014 5 years ago

Since when does Premium lack ANY features?

Quoted from PinMonk:If that's true it's good news, but I still can't see any operator buying whatever the Gold version is (2 steps down in features from this "diamond" version) for LE money.

#1015 5 years ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

Since when does Premium lack ANY features?

Okay, trim/art. But since this is a shifted Pro/Prem/LE model, with the Pro being the "Gold" version, you could lose the spinning record and have a giant Yoko Ono face in the middle like the Angus Young on AC/DC Pro. We'll have to wait and see...

#1016 5 years ago
Quoted from RobT:

I sold my Porsche, my Bulldog is long gone, but my TV is 123"

Make sure you’re measuring base to tip from the topside of the shaft and not from the undercarriage BEHIND the rabbit ears to get the correct TV size RobbieT.

#1017 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

Texas county. Not all of Texas. And it's just sexbots. Roombas are safe.

So no Levi Beatles Pinball in Texas Cunty?

#1018 5 years ago
Quoted from NimblePin:

Make sure you’re measuring base to tip from the topside of the shaft and not from the undercarriage BEHIND the balls to get the correct TV size RobbieT.

I measured the correct way: diagonally.

It's Ka Pow, it will be like BM66 and Kaminkow hinted they'll all be the same.

I hope the GOLD colors are different. :/

STAR WARS SOLD

So many terrible analogies in this thread.

Please knock it off with the Supreme comparisons those idiots will buy literally anything with Supreme on it for stupid money not in any way the same.

They sold but they could have sold a lot more of them. Cash cow syndrome in full effect.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Yup. Also, Star Wars premium and LE has some very impressive pinball toys in it whereas Beatles does not. The hyperspace fork ramp, magnet accelerator, and the 360 wireform making up the entire device is one of Sterns most substantial toys to date. The Death Star toy on the premium / LE is also a well made and is a very interactive toy.

Quoted from Methos:

If it's on the Beatles merchandise site, they (Stern) don't care about Pinside.

I think thats really unfair, if you watch George's presentation from expo - all you get is how much they care. What they are frustrated about is some of the stupidity on pinside (like this thread where people have written off the game before the've even seen all of it, let alone played it!)

The stupid theories that people post about what motivates Stern (or other manufacturers). They way people post here is just shocking. If you tell me that anyone at Stern wakes up and says "I don't care about pinside" or wakes up and says "how can we scam the pinheads" which I often think is some peoples attitude- it just isn't true. The more I engage with Stern the more I feel they really care about providing a great product in a super challenging environment.

There is a game here that is based on a legendary game, it has a price that is not far from other games but it also carries an expensive license. Pay or pay not. If your a big fan you can get one thats even more special. There is no gun to anyone's head so can we be civil please and focus on the game.

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I think if this turns out to be true, it's a huge game-changer on the perception and reception of this game, and you'd see PLENTY in Pinside collections and even on location.

At $3k more than they are “worth” and I am being liberal in my estimate, a few may make location, but I can’t see many going into Pinside collections. Probably a $2k/$1k Stern/Kapow profit split, this is too rich for me to subsidize.

America is obviously not the market for this pin. I wonder how many of these will go to China, Japan, and Europe.

This will probably be the only market that matters.

have you played it? I'm going to guess no. So how do you know how much its worth?

#1031 5 years ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

What something is worth is what I'm willing to pay for it. It could be worth 50,000 dollars, but not to me....

#1033 5 years ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

have you played it? I'm going to guess no. So how do you know how much its worth?

It’s how much reskinned Seawitches with added magnets and a spinning disk go for in my area. Street level games without an lcd are often under $2k. Beatles is closer to higher valuation because it is special.

I’m confused by the old adage - pinball is not a good investment. Now I find out pinball is actually a collectible with limitless potential for profiteering. Going to have to rethink my approach to buying pins and my investment allocation in collectibles.

#1034 5 years ago

I love The Beatles, but this is rubbish.
So bad...sad.

#1035 5 years ago
Quoted from tamoore:

Tell me all the times in manufacturing history a company trying to create a collectable market has actually succeeded in creating a collectable market?
It almost never works that way.
Collectables become collectable. They don't start out that way.

Check out Scotty Cameron....

Wonder if you could take a Seawitch Playfield and plunk it in Beatles game and do an Alternative translite. - Hack some roms - and have sewitch 2019

Quoted from TechnicalSteam:

Without the extra stuff on the playfield you couldn't just pinball-browser out the music and graphics to make it a seawitch game.

If Stern wasn't so stretched thin on programming man-hours they could do a family guy/shrek with this new playfield and do an unlicensed release of the layout as Fathom 2.0. Would need all new art/audio/etc so it wouldn't be cheap, and then pinside would be crying again.

Why not just buy a Sea Witch and save $5000.

#1040 5 years ago

So, reserved my game. Now lieing back and enjoying the show!

Beatles will have a coin door just like any other commercial pinball...

You've been on point with all your Beatles info so that's good news.

#1045 5 years ago

I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night so now I'm an expert on commercial pinball and I think this thing is gonna sell out!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but is there any chance the Platinum and Diamond versions will have different art and songs from different eras?

Pretty sure this IS the diamond edition since they show the plaque in the video.

Maybe they should add a hideous Joker-faced woman with a broken spine, then everyone would love the art

And with 'kinda' I mean... uh... off every chart?
