Quoted from shacklersrevenge:

Lots of deals done before and lots done during. You're going to a pinball buffet, you'll have plenty to feast on. Rows of games for sale and projects too. Have fun!

This may be true but unfortunately I've heard from many that the people who camp before the doors open always get first dibs and buy up all of the best stuff which leaves mostly undesirables before lunch time. That saddens me and is making me rethink taking the trip out. If it were closer to me I'd make the trip regardless of what was left but I'd hate to travel almost 3 hours to come home empty handed

Quoted from cooke:

Some of the best deals I've ever made have occurred mid-afternoon Saturday. That's when people start lowering prices to avoid hauling home the stuff they brought with them.

I used to love getting those types of deals at auctions.

Looking for a Stern Meteor

#661 3 years ago
Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

.Ship Ahoy 975$ really a keeper/collector quality all original game. Come try it out, this will be in the free play area.

Is this a spinoff of Bucaneer??

Quoted from 80spit:

I'll be bringing a nice one to Allentown if it does not sell at the Ohio show this weekend

#663 3 years ago
Quoted from TaylorVA:

Transport for my Meteor to the show has been acquired.
I hope to have a portable mic by the show and will be doing interviews for an episode of This Flippin Podcast covering it. Look forward to talking to anyone willing to chat.

Will it be for sale?

#1343 3 years ago
Quoted from shlockdoc:

Someone is gonna get a really nice playfield from that one. I wish it was for grabs 2-3 months ago

Is the best day to be there for buying Thursday or Friday??

Quoted from Pinphila:

I get the policy but I also don't think having pinball related advertisements is a bad idea either to generate revenue.
Demo man -$2300
Cp - $4350
Space station - $1850
Wcs 94 - $1950
In market place

Your profile says that you have no ads in the marketplace, unless I'm missing something? I was looking for pics of the WCS

Hey guys
I am making the trip Fri, just have a question, are people taking paypal and or credit cards at the show now? I know in the past it was always cash is king, been a few years since I have gone, and just wanted to know.

I'd like to know also. My Paypal account is my designated pin account

#1655 3 years ago

So I see that it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow. I've got a pickup to haul pins so I have no idea how I'm supposed to pull this off. Anyone else in the same dilemma?

Quoted from lllvjr:

I don't know if it's my cell or someone messed up the google docs but none of my games are priced and the Google docs has other people's prices and write ups in my game listings... My games will be priced tonight at the show set up. Don't go by Google doc

Last time I looked at yours a few hours ago the price slots were blank. You have a few titles that I'm interested in so I've been checking it on and off lol

#1661 3 years ago
Quoted from mjm697:

If you want more than 1200 for a nice working tapper don't waste your time with me lol.

Unfortunately that's the going rate, unless it's a project. If you change your mind I know someone who regularly sells and restores Tapper, Bud's, and Root Beer.

#1663 3 years ago
Quoted from PiNDoCToR:

If you have a hitch you can go rent a uHaul trailer. You could also rent an Enterprise cargo van.

Yeaaaaaaaah. I have no hitch and I just bought the truck so I'd rather not spend more money on another vehicle lol #shouldagottavan

Quoted from djreddog:

sohchx - A couple nice tarps should do the trick.

That's gonna have to do it. I brought a pin home tarp'd buritto style in an hour long downpour with only one tarp and it was bone dry. I'm going to go pick up a second for extra insurance

#1670 3 years ago

I've got this Cue Ball that I can bring with me if anyone needs one. $1300 OBO or trade for/towards another DMD machine

Clean fully working machine fully shopped.

Full mylar play field, zero wear
Side rails are worn
All new rubber
New flipper bats
Both flipper assemblies rebuilt
New pop bumper bodies, skirts, bases, metal and fiber yokes, and springs
Lithium mod/ no battery leakage
New flipper coils

I'm probably forgetting something because I did a ton of work to it but I have receipts.

73 miles to go!!!

#1765 3 years ago

Place is packed pretty good!!!!!

#1770 3 years ago

Lol I just finished playing that. I must have just missed you

#1771 3 years ago

Whomever had the Junkyard that wasn't for sale, that thing was absolutely gorgeous!!!! I would have loved to have taken it home. I'm actually pretty disappointed in the show. Not many people took credit cards, some of the machine's were definitely over priced for their condition and the selection of what was for sale was meh. Ultimately I had come for a FG and WOF to take home but not a single one was there. A waste of a 2.5 hr trip to only spend two hours there and come home with an empty truck.

Quoted from lurch:

Saw some sort of tapper conversion.... No price though and the bottom of the cab was rough.

It was marked sold when I passed it at noon

#1788 3 years ago
Quoted from robotron:

man what a great time. thanks to steve at pinball refinery, joe pin graffix, joe pinball star headin home all pinned out!

I tried the entire time to get on that BBB but there was always a wait. I've always wanted to play one.

#1803 3 years ago
Quoted from Guinnesstime:

I saw one there but don't know the details.

If I remember correctly and we are talking about the same machine the backglass was shot big time.

Quoted from tomh52722:

Had a blast at the show today. Other than the owner of the TOM in the free play area who did not put his game on free play and kept dropping F-bombs in front of my 10 year old daughter when someone asked him about it, i couldn't have asked for more. Tons of games and the lines weren't too long. Got to play Congo and junkyard for the first time tough and definitely want to buy or trade for a junk yard now. The food at the farmers market was great too. Will definitely be back next year.

Was that the TOM that was never turned on? I never came across another one. I to played a JY for the first time today and it is on my NEED list. I'm searching to buy as I type. Did you play the one that I did with the topper? That thing was gorgeous!!!

Quoted from Backyardace:

Anyone see a nice Doctor Who pin at the show?

Just one. It sold to Timeline Arcade in Hanover

#1833 3 years ago
Quoted from DRDAVE:

NEVER eat at the choke & puke inside the show. Nasty unhealthy overpriced crap.

To late. I had the bbq sandwich that was nothing like I expected it to be and the mediocre mozzarella sticks. I was in such a hurry to eat that I had completely forgotten that everyone here said to eat at the market. I didn't realize that I had missed out until I was on the way home. I never experienced any side effects lol.

Does anyone here remember the name of the vendor that had the super long table with all of the new plastic ramps and a ton of backglass against the wall?
