Quoted from TaylorVA:

Can you bring a game on Friday or do you have to load in on Thursday?

I think they hold spots if you pre-register the game.

I really really really like Allentown but wish I had a solution to the early tear-down. Last year my SWE1 in my vendor booth was one of the last games still standing, so I feel like I did what I could. But it was already loaded in the suv when the show ended and 10 mins later I was already heading south. Maybe instead of giving away a game randomly, give away a game to an owner of a game on the free play floor... Give-away chosen one hour before closing and your free play game must still be set up to win.

Quoted from Colehvac1:

I like this idea, I'm thinking I should rent a big rig and bring all my games

Just don't pack the truck completely full - you want to leave space in there to take that VP prize home! That's a great incentive to take a game to Pintastic... maybe I'll drive instead of fly. Then again, Jersey, NYC, Conn... maybe I'll fly.

Quoted from ataritoday:

I always think about bringing a game to the show, but am always concerned that if the machine goes down while it is there I won't be able to fix it.

If it would fail, no better place... there are always a lot of great tech's at the show willing to help.

Quoted from Capinball:

they're telling me they only have $269 king size bed rooms left for Holiday Inn Express.

I think you could rent an RV for less than that and just stay at the fairgrounds!

I've made my reservations (with family!) and have confirmed my vendor booth with Ivan! Will have my 2016 Edition daughterboards, the new Extreme Edition adapter (presently on Kickstarter) and probably bringing my Party Zone this year. SWE1 was a big hit last year but it is so much heavier...

TPF is in 9 days and that is where my current focus is, but right after that blink and it's Allentown-time!

I am traveling to Allentown from the Dallas area. Can do pin transport to/from, $150, enclosed trailer.

Man, I purposely didn't shop at TPF because of the impossibility of getting something back here. Even though that's a bargain price, maybe it's good I didn't know; wifey would NOT have been happy...

Here is an 11 page recap of what everyone has posted FOR SALE or FOR TRADE.

That's a fantastic thing you did djreddog - Thanks! Each time the thread jumps to a new page, someone should quote your entire post to pull the summary to the most current page.

In my booth will be a Chicago Coin "Kicker" for sale. For the serious project lover I'll also have a collection of Firepower parts (playfield, cabinet wiring, some of the boards, lockdown bar & mechanism, coin door) that lack a cabinet, backglass, and probably other parts.

Of course, plenty of my Power Fix daughterboards, williams sound pot replacements, Pin2K H+V video sync adapters, and ezSBC regulators will be available in my booth as well.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

I was so mesmerized by the EMs next to your booth at TPF that I totally forgot to introduce myself

They were very impressive indeed. Several times Daniel (from ezSBC) had to pull me away from that group of beauties to help people interested in my boards. I can't remember the acronym they assembled for their group/club but they were some fun folks to talk to as well.

BTW, I think Daniel will be with me at Allentown just like at TPF.

Quoted from hooch333:

I may be wrong but as far as vendors go, it sounds like there will be more than usual this year, so it should be great.

They have shared the show layout with vendors... There are a LOT of vendor space queued up. I am in vendor space #41 in the second of 4 rows between the front of the building and the free play area. There are 2 rows to the left of free play, one to the right, and 3 more rows mapped out behind the free play. A good number of vendors consuming more than one space and very few vacant spaces.

While I'm typing, how's about a round of applause for djreddog who has diligently summarized the For Sale listings in the thread.

Well, I did a lot of daughterboard assembly this past week and am declaring myself ready for the show. Will have a lot of both the Classic and the Pro WPC Power Fix Daughterboard, will have some of the Extreme Adapters as well and an MPU running off the adapter showing how to use it to 'bench-boot'. I will also have my potentiometer solutions for Williams system 3-7 sound boards, my Pin2K video adapters and some of my 3d printed parts. Stop by if you want to see 3d printed metal...

I've got everything set up in my garage; now I just need to pack it into the car and get Thursday morning to arrive already! Going to try something a little different in my booth this year - bringing a few chairs so that I can host some mini-seminars (targeting 10 minutes long). Will have a schedule of some sort worked out by showtime. So, if you are looking for a place to rest the legs for a few minutes seek me out!

Quoted from Hammerhead:

I'm going to Pintastic

I'm going too. Pinfest was terrific this past weekend (except nobody bought my Kicker EM) and I'm looking forward to my first Pintastic... earlier tonight I watched the video tour from last year's show.

Walk-through video:

I didn't see Todd at the show so I'm not surprised he missed my booth... but he missed my whole corner of the show - Bummer. But he showed off a whole lot of the show that I missed!

Mid-show, how would games get to the repair corner? Those isles get quite crowded... Would machines "queue in place" in the FP area awaiting their turn in the corner (i.e., sitting there turned off when broke like presently happens) or would the corner be a space large enough to garage all the machines waiting repair? Would the machine owner need to be present during the entire repair process to approve "work arounds" driven by the part supply challenges identified above? Why would the pricing for repair service at a show be any different than in-home?... especially if demand for repair exceeded capacity in the corner? Would the pit crew work "first in first out" or "most profitable first"? Would monetizing it take some of the "community" feel out of the event? Would it be cash-only or would cards be an option? With that farmers market next door, who would even want pizza?
