I had a pizza in Allentown today at Palumbos. It was what they call their "Grandma Special". It was surprisingly good!

Just like their Hoagies all seem to be too.

I think I just found my new favorite Italian Pizza/Sub shop in Allentown.

I'm here but haven't found a place to live yet.

We should grab a drink at Railroad Street and play some pinball. I'm always happy to drive.

Yeah I imagine the housing market in Allentown is incredibly tight!

You'd be surprised. I know I was a little shocked to see some of the prices. Not a whole lot of difference between here and the Chicago burbs.

Look in the outlying areas. Wilson, Quakertown, Walnutport, etc. There are really nice places but I don't know your budget or what you're looking for.

That's kind of where I'm looking Chris. This afternoon I'm going to see two houses. One in Northampton and another in Emmaus.

I work in Allentown and live in Palmerton, 22 miles away. Carbon county. Lower taxes and no emissions testing for your car.

Shitty air is a great selling point!

You're better off finding a place to rent for 6 months while you scout out the area of where you really want to be.

Typical response from you. No emissions because of the rural area and less population in the county.

That's the game plan except I will probably sign a one year lease.

Stay out of actual allentown. I'm sure its been mentioned. Unless you don't mind playing fun games like "was that a gunshot?" and "is my car still there?"

#2265 2 years ago

Billy Joel lives there. Can't be that bad.

Just think of Front to 4th st as the epicenter. The further away you get, the better off you are..

When it comes to gun violence, Allentown is the "minor leagues" compared to Chicago.
