Just got home and figured I'd put my $0.02 in while it is fresh in my mind...
Rob Zombie... GI was out at least 1/2 Friday and today until at least 3:30pm when we left. I thought the sound was working, then not, then it was. Not sure if it was just the volume down but it was hard to hear. Gameplay was not what I was expecting. I tried to like it, I really did. Just not my cup of tea. Glad I passed on my spot so someone else can enjoy.
AMH... was going to give the raffle a try because I'd love to own one for $100. But the machine was down most of Friday and today until maybe 2-2:30pm. We owned one in the past and I wanted to play it again so I'd miss it enough to justify spending the $$$ but it wasn't meant to be.
Ghost Busters... my son and I absolutely loved this thing! So much so I helped talk the owner of the arcade(Robot City Games) I do work for into buying one. His wife was pretty sure she wanted one so I made sure to PUSH as hard as I could. Can not wait to get some quiet time in on this sucker! My son got ~340,000,000 points and we never noticed air balls or jumping rails or drop targets not dropping. All that seemed to work great for us both Friday and Saturday(we played the machine to the right at the Marco booth exclusively).
Hobbit... again, really wanted to like it but in the show environment I couldn't really get deep into it. I'd love to play this 50 times in a row to give it a good look. I can see why people love it I just hope I get time on one someday.
Spiderman VE... we loved it. But we also loved the original Spiderman so that's no surprise. I have to say that we really liked the new artwork. Fits the theme perfectly to us.
Game of Thrones... I didn't care for it while my son liked it. Seemed like most people playing it had a smile on their face(we could see while waiting in line for Spiderman and Ghost Busters).
The Beautiful BOP 2.0... damn beautiful. Looked like a newer game for sure. Didn't get time on it but there was a line for that one everytime I walked by.
Overall we thought this was the best Allentown show we've been to. It seemed like there were more vendors and the indoor flea market area was well stocked. The biggest surprise was how represented video arcade games were this year. It was nice to see a bunch of them towards the back.
Thank you Ivan and crew for putting on a great show!
Oh yeah, the food rocked again at Bada Bingg II!!! Thank yous guys!!!
