Is the best day to be there for buying Thursday or Friday??

Thursday is setup only.

If you're bringing a game, a lot of pre-sale deals go down between the folks who bring games for setup. Plus a lot of pre-show deals have happened right here in this thread (and other allentown threads).

Hi, coming to Allentown on Friday , is there pinball places (stores or arcades) besides TNT amusements on my way up there coming from NYC ?

Also , where is the best place to eat wings near Allentown?

Thx

Pincrossing and pinball gallery

I watched the TNT video on u-tube from 2015 Pinfest He focused on S.S. machines but I seen many many many EMs in the background for sale. I won't have any trouble finding a game I want or even two if that's how it is this year. I will have to only take so much money and hope they don't take credit cards. I wonder how many machines I can fit in a 8ft truck bed

The farmers market is steps away and to die for.
Every kind of food you could imagine.

Either is TNT. Pincrossing is at least only an hour or so from Allentown. Has great food and a line up of beer to die for. Oh...thier pins are pretty good as well.

Try PMing Robin directly. It's possible that an email ended up in a spam folder by mistake.

Last bit on the donation thing. I just wanted to follow up and explain what happened to you guys who were reading this.

1. I just realized you were a moderator now force
2. Robin contacted me

Unfortunately, the Lehigh Valley is a little dry on having great pins around, or even a collection of them in one public place. But as some already mentioned, Pincrossing is really awesome with their great wings, big list of beers and A level pins. I play in their weekly league and it's a fantastic place to host it. Worth the trip from Allentown to Limerick if you're on a pin vacation and want to hit something like that, at least once while in the area. http://railroadstreet.com/

For wings in general, I would also check out...

- Ringers Roost (right across the street from the fairgrounds) http://www.ringersroost1801.com/home/

- PJ Whelihans (some of my favorite wings growing up, get the hot and honey) http://www.pjspub.com/index.php

- Diner 248 (not necessarily close to the show, but only a 25 - 30 min ride for great wings) http://diner248.com/

Do any of the vendors carry new boards? I'm looking for an Alltek Ultimate MPU and a Rottendog BPS054 and figure I might as well try to save a few bucks and get them sans shipping.

BTW anyone who likes Mexican food, last year we stumbled on Fiesta Ole in nearby Emmaus on the way home. Very good food and the second best deep fried ice cream I've ever had (the best was from a restaurant that closed decades ago). A fortuitous time to take the wrong road.

I'm comming up from NC. Once I hit Wash DC is it best to hug 95 all the way towards Philly or take smaller hilly routes. Mapquest says 4 routes all same time but traffic jams vs hills?

#1522 3 years ago
Quoted from Tokkentakker:

Typically traffic SUCKS on I-95 and personally my choice is I-81 or Route 15 coming north then head east. With that said I live out in Carlisle PA so I-81 or route 15 are both very close for me. But once I get to DC I avoid I-95 regardless and also spend as little time as possible on I-695 around Washington.

I don't know what choices Mapquest gives you but pick any of them other then I-95 and you will be better off.

#1523 3 years ago

Use the Waze app so you have real time traffic and construction alerts so you can check out each route before you leave. But stay clear on I-95 and I-695 for sure.

from dc: take 270 north, becomes 15 north (frederick), all the way to harrisburg. right before you get in town (camp hill), take harrisburg beltway west (581), then a little up the road get on 81 north. 25-30 miles up 81 it splits, take 78 east towards allentown. from there, you'll be flipping pinballs in about an hour.

no traffic/no tolls.

I might be the only one! But since I have never actually met anyone or really know anyone.
Or have any friends. ..................
Anyway, Yeah I'm wearing one.

Find the route that gets you on to 83n after Baltimore. That will take you to 81N and then to78E. It really is the best way to go IMO. 95 after Baltimore sucks. 95 sucks in general but gets bad around DC. The time of day matters so consider that in your travels. This route, no tolls and no BS and still all interstate. Its the only way I go and typically can be it Baltimore in 2.5 hours from Atown.

Safe travels, I'll see you there

Waze is the only way to travel.

You have to trust it 100% don't try to outsmart the app. When it tells you get on I95 you get on I95 , when it tells you to take the access road behind Lowes and cut thru Mcdonalds parking lot then that is what you do.

As an added bonus you get real time updates on police location, accidents and construction. Makes in invaluable if speeding is your thing

That's the route I take, nice easy drive.

I have several Touchscreen jukebox/music video jukebox and touch gaming systems for sale. Like a souped up Megatouch on steroids - just so much better than a Megatouch/JVL for home use.

This touch system will be the BEST addition to your game room because everyone loves finding and playing songs & videos on a jukebox and playing current games that can save your progress, be paused for a bathroom/drink break, has excellent gambling games, and Mystery / Find the Object games that the wife will enjoy too. Something for everyone.

I have one kiosk system available right now and two bar top systems. I'm asking $1500 for the kiosk and $1300 for the countertop. Wil be bringing the two bar top systems to Allentown and I'm happy to give you a demo of the system. Will bring the kiosk only if I have a deposit or payment.

Here's some videos of the kiosks in action:

https://goo.gl/photos/imVekNSFUgYjgvpGA
https://goo.gl/photos/Y3pSLXwYSm6EbBaJA
https://goo.gl/photos/1XwsoTjpWpzFDxhU8

Here's pics of the standup cabinet and the bar top system:

https://goo.gl/photos/HSn6e5Vm28NQGyYq7
https://goo.gl/photos/oiuK5YVF6WCEN2SC6

Not going to make a list of the 15,000 songs or 5,000 music videos though. Songs are easily added and I can add any requests you have too. Nice to also use the system for playing Youtube (especially using playlists), Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. I like to use mine during NFL season as another TV in the bar for streaming the Red Zone channel to it while I have another game on the bar TV.

The counter top one has HDMI and you'd use a 1/8" jack to RCA cable to connect to your stereo. So this is just like a Megatouch as it's the computer and screen in one unit. But this Dell's stand is what makes it perfect for home gaming because the screen is fully adjustable and can even lay flat, which is pretty cool if you have it on a table.

Here's the details and specs of the Dell all in one, but the ones I have are Intel i3 and i5 processor

http://www.pcworld.com/product/1253836/inspiron-2350-all-in-one.html

Here's a list of all the games on the kiosk system - the countertop has the same songs, videos and these same games, but also has an additional 300 excellent, current games available using a nice Android emulator I have running on it.
