Hi everyone, I’m a novice in trying to work on pinball machines and decided to give it a go. I’m struggling a bit because I did switch out a few connectors and using a crimp has been really hard. I’m wondering if anyone knows what size wires are used throughout #TheAddamsFamily. I was told to get a moles idc connector kit, but not all the wires fit into the connectors .196 is what I was told. For instance in J114 the wires are tough to fit into that. I’m guessing this is because the connector is too small. Does anyone have a list of the size wires and the corresponding Molex idc I should be using? Apparently I shorted the game field and blew a few fuses because the crimps were touching…I’m a mess. Thanks so much!!

There are plenty of smart people on Pinside who will likely be chiming in very soon to provide you with answers to your questions. I will start it off by providing a link for the crimper that I use and it works great even if you are a novice. There are plenty of YouTube videos that show you how to use this crimper and a link is included below for using an IWISS SN-28B Dupont crimping tool.

Thanks. I had bought .156 for 22 gauge previously. Should I have gotten that for 18 gauge and the .100 for 22 then? Or would the .100 work for both? Sorry making sure I do this correctly. Jjsmooth

You need the .156 for the 18 gauge wires.
