It never was a question - it was a statement.
OHHHHHHHHhhhhh Myyyyy Gaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwd. That is so cool~!. Your attention to detail - the craftmanship - just top notch. And to see it displayed in SUCHA COOL WAY! I can't wait to see all those motors turning, coils firing. Phew.. I need to catch my breath.
EDIT: ..and you MUST get those clear pop bumpers Vid posted.
Quoted from Mk1Mod0:How do you spell "unmitigated disaster?"
...sorry to hear. I'm sure it's frustrating to spend so many hours on this, only to have to re-do so much. If it's any consolation, I'm sure there are a lot of folks like myself who are following this thread and are MORE than impressed with everything you've done to this point. Who knows, perhaps it's for the best in the long run, as you may end up with an awesome solution that looks great and lasts forever. Wishing you GOOD LUCK!
So tricky to find a good playfield solution because on a standard playfield the inserts are the only clear part - the rest is wood and doesn't let light through. With this project, the entire playfield is clear, so how do you illuminate one insert??
Why even have inserts?
...bead/sand blast an image of the playfield graphics, including inserts on the bottom side of the playfield. Light it up and play on it.
...that's my drunk and completely uneducated suggestion.
This is my favorite thread on Pinside, and I'm really looking forward to seeing this at the Houston show. Awesome work~!
I suspect that in this case, pictures do not do this machine justice. I'm also REALLY looking forward to seeing this at the Houston show.
Quoted from Mk1Mod0:HAAG 2015 in Houston. A very different and very fun show.
I'm SOOOOO looking forward to seeing this in person.
