Quoted from bangerjay:Iron Maiden? The band?
Dunno. Seems odd that someone would make a band-themed pinball machine.
Quoted from wolverinetuner:It sure helps to make up for football at the moment. Go Blue!
Sigh.
bbhenry2000 is smiling today.
Quoted from PinPatch:Check out the price achieved for this 1988 Ford escort nearly $140k USD

What is wrong with people? You could have 233.33 of these instead:
Quoted from Chosen_S:Ahem... this thread is way cooler than any Iron Maiden thread here...
By the way, sometimes riding in the Escort things get a little tight, so don’t be affraid to bring that belt in a notch
You know what fixes this problem?

Quoted from zh2oson:It depends. Did you purchase the Lynx new? If so...
Let me check
Hay Maw, Maw meatloaf, oh sorry, she said no it was used.
Quoted from wolverinetuner:Hey zh2oson,
Just curious, but how many pins are you planning to put in this new space?
You mean before the divorce?
This palace will hold 3-4. Once my wife leaves me, I'll have more space.
Quoted from wolverinetuner:You're also really modern here. Mine would be a 77 Pinto
On the plus side, the Pinto was a looker.
They were a bit explode-y, tho.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Let me check
Hay Maw, Maw meatloaf, oh sorry, she said no it was used.
I have the same silk smoking jacket that Will is wearing in that scene. True story.
STEP 13:
Mount heater and TV.
Quoted from heni1977:Also here is my little 220 heater surprisingly does pretty good.
heni1977 FTW on the heater. Mine is a bit newer (and probably cheaper...yay Amazon!) Regardless, it is a heater befitting a 1987 Escort reno.
Buster Poindexter would be proud
Because of the new pull "poll", I can turn on/off the heater with the flick of a switch. This will come in handy when the kiddie pool goes in down here and we want to take a dip on one of those chilly So Cal evenings!
Quoted from preore:For that upper corner, I recommend mounting a tv. The angle would look natural.
When it's right, it's right. preore gets a virtual high five from me. High five, buddy.
Only PBS and documentaries about WWII for me
Hopefully my electrician knows what he's doing...everything is on!!
Quoted from zh2oson:Sigh.
bbhenry2000 is smiling today.
You know it. I've been smiling all day. Lol
Quoted from bbhenry2000:You know it. I've been smiling all day. Lol
The Germans have a word for what you are feeling.
I have a different word. Words, actually.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:Wait a minute now when did the chandelier come into play? This space is getting fancy
Putting the "ass" in "class" since Mid-February.
Be careful on the fancy, the wife will take over. LOL The tv is a nice touch!
I'm digging that heater too!!
Quoted from heni1977:Be careful on the fancy, the wife will take over
If the niceness of my Escort garage renovation is the reason for my pending divorce, that would be the ultimate irony.
I mean, the one thing this thread really needed was some detailed photos of me putting coats of slightly whiter paint on the walls.
I never knew there where so many whites until we told a painter we wanted to paint the inside of our house white. I think we went with Snow bound White.
Then you have to pick the sheen
STEP 15:
Fix Pepsi Clock.
Ah. My awesome Ebay find just committed seppuku. We had a good month together. Maybe it was all the white paint? Or, the fumes from the paint?
Why? Dear God...why? WHY!?!?!?!?
The ballast is dead. It will cost me as much to fix as I paid for the whole clock initially. That's ok. This whole hobby is like lighting money on fire, so what's a few more dollars. I'm helping the economy, damn it.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:I never knew there where so many whites until we told a painter we wanted to paint the inside of our house white. I think we went with Snow bound White
Isn't that the truth? We settled on "Hellmann's Lite Mayonnaise" but it was really a toss-up between that and "Martha's Vineyard Cottage Linen Breeze" [EDIT: Martha's Vineyard Cottage Linen Breeze at 50% ]
Quoted from zh2oson:FTW on the heater. Mine is a bit newer (and probably cheaper...yay Amazon!) Regardless, it is a heater befitting a 1987 Escort reno.
How toasty does that TV get when the heater is on? Hopefully not too toasty.
Quoted from mcluvin:How toasty does that TV get when the heater is on? Hopefully not too toasty.
I was worried about that, so I ran the space heater at full strength for two hours and monitored the temperature with a digital thermometer. Fortunately, the TV sits behind the heater and most of the heat radiates out and down. The TV won't get too melty!
Quoted from PinPatch:This Mayo is the shit...
Agreed.
I did try Duke's after reading this article and enjoyed it:
http://nymag.com/strategist/article/chef-alex-stupak-best-mayonnaise-dukes.html
I'm not enough of a connoisseur to appreciate the subtle differences and the hassle of having to order it via the web was a bit much, so I won't be doing that again.
Quoted from rufessor:More construction less mayo.
I'm going to interpret this as sarcasm. So, here you go:
Now that my baby is here, all I see is clutter.
Have we really come that far?
I’ve illustrated the areas that are giving me pause.
That's right. I'm using a Tommy Boy reference. It's a classic, people.
So, now I'm considering putting up some sliding closet doors to hide the shelves and make the room feel cleaner. Stay tuned.
Quoted from merccat:Grat looking WW! Someday... someday.
Diamondplate. Plays fast.
Hoping to put an Earthshaker next to it someday. We all have dreams.
Quoted from Chosen_S:You can do much better than ES, it’s too similar to WW... you need a Radical!
Hmmmm...you make a compelling case. Do you happen to know someone who'll cut me deal on a good Radical! that doesn't have crappy optos?
Quoted from Darcy:Bonus! There is a pin in there now. And it has a fan to help move the air around.
It is supposed to be in the mid-90's here today, so I might be running that fan.
Or...I could buy a Heat Wave and a
Hollywood Heat and just embrace it.
Quoted from zh2oson:Heat Wave
Heat Wave is a fun game, go and get one, if you can a real good one.
