Stern, 2013Assuming there are going to be 12 songs on the Metallica pin if it is in fact the next machine from Stern, lets see who can get the song track right. Remember this is a list of songs you think Stern is going to use not a list of what you want them to use. I will start.

Well, in that same vein, I couldn't describe squat about the LOTR stories, movies etc. when it was announced. Turned out to be one of my favorite games ever

I doubt Dave Mustaine would allow The Four Horsemen to be used without some compensation which would not fly well with James and Lars
Probably the same reason it does not appear on Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Very true. I do like the Metallica sound and will judge that game on its own merit. hey at least it's not rap.

Credited or not, Mustaine is responsible for the entire sound Metallica had when they were good. When they ran out of new ways to rehash his, Iron Maiden's and Black Sabbath's riffs is when shit like Load came out...

Unfortunately those two are cover songs, unlikely to be on the pin. Rather than guess what's on the pin, here's my pick for best 12 pinball friendly songs for the Metallica fan... but Stern may find it useful to throw in a few of the radio friendly ones for the casual player. There's good and bads to having whole songs on a game, as I did find myself on ACDC plodding through slow parts of a song waiting for it to pick up, but it's also nice to hear it out w/o interruption.

I wish it would be full of real metallica fan base songs. But the fact of the matter is it will be all the played out radio songs with half of them being the new lame crap. If it were me this is what I would have.

It is an unfortunate fact that we are spoon fed top 40 hits (many of them manufactured for that purpose) rather than the best songs available. They're all shallow, immediately-catchy tunes that quickly fade after a few months, then go on "classic" music rotations for decades... over and over. It's why I don't listen to radio, nor follow popular song lists.
They probably have to consider modes for each song too. I love "One" but they would have to start the song about 2 mins in to hear anything.
I will be getting one for my collection, I am guessing some good sliders will be necessary. Metallica pumps me up, and I am guessing it does everyone else as well. That machine will get some solid nudges fo Sho!
Leper Messiah is the best Metallica song period. The fact that we have 0ver 30 posts without a mention saddens me. posers. lol.
Please no jukebox like ACDC. incorporate it into the game better. Maybe I'm a weirdo but i like how GnR incorporated songs better than any of the other music pins.

Totally agree that the songs should be used more like GNR.
Here's my list. I think the Justice stuff is too long to use. I would love Orion, Jump in the Fire, and many others but I don't see it happening.

Yellow Submarine might be more interesting than the White Album. We need to stop dreaming about The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, though. I doubt any will ever happen.
