    I own 2 spike and a Sam. The Sam is Metallica. The feel is very similar in both the spike pins and the Sam. I also prefer the feel of the Stern flippers compared to others. Pin Monk has discussed the Stern flipper technology on here multiple times. He would be a good person to ask or chime in.
