    Quoted from Travish:

They bought out the "Roy Rogers" restaurants and used their chicken recipe/procedure.
They just dropped the fried chicken altogether. They also had killer milkshakes with real Hershey brand ice cream. They got greedy and changed to some no name ice cream. Last one I bought.

I used to love the roast beef sandwiches at Roy Rogers, they all went away but 1 I found at a Pa. turnpike rest stop..

Yupp, and now we have Chipolte!

    Quoted from LTG:

They were hot, greasy, and chewy. Didn't really taste like anything other than cooking oil.

Similar to those strangely delicious JITB tacos; at least as I remember them to be. Burger King is offering their $1.00 taco again. I had one recently and it was really nasty. Looked like it was run over by a cement truck and was scraped off the hot pavement two days later.

    #455 3 months ago

Years ago I actually liked Burger Kings 2 tacos for $1. Of course I was young and poor, but using a slice of American cheese folded on the bottom of a Taco worked surprisingly well.

    #456 3 months ago

Tim Hortons, your breakfast sandwiches are nasty. Every damn one of them.
And your drive thru was designed for yuppies in their Prius's, not us pin-haulin' men in trucks. I've been driving for 40 years and I still rub my god damn tires trying to get one of your shitty sandwiches.

Doing the speed limit & catching up to the car 2km ahead of you.

    #462 3 months ago

people who drive in the left fawking lane. Law states: If you are in the left lane, and someone comes up behind you, and nobody is in front of you, you are required to move over and let them pass. If a car is next to you. Speed up or slow down and move the fawk over. You dumb sonsabitches!

For me it's when people are driving in-between the gears. If you drive stick you know what I'm talking about. Your driving 28 mph. Either reving in 2nd or killing my motor in 3rd

    Quoted from Buzz:

Carl's had that steak sandwich into the early 90's. I do remember that commercial though. Talking chicken the best used to be Pioneer chicken.

I've been thinking about that steak sandwich and could have been at one time they stopped putting BS on it and used mayo instead. Beef spread was a thick lard like substance with a bouillon flavoring mixed in that we spread on that roll. You would probably remember it if you ever tasted it.

There is still a Pioneer somewhere up in LA.

That Pioneer chicken is so far away now and that I can no longer find BS to spread on my sandwich.

i'm having a couple games shipped in from AlexF in Wisconsin. I got home a while ago and there was a voice message that the shippers would be here in a couple hours to pick them up.

Edit- They figured out where the fk they were going.

A moron postal worker decided to steal about $30,000 worth of drugs from the online site I buy pot from. This has caused the site to go dark for almost 2 months now while they try and catch up refunding whoever lost their parcel. Canada post figured it out and hopefully this dipshit will spend some time behind bars.

    Thieves suck!

    Quoted from Scoot:

Same thing when parents talk about how old their kid is in months instead of years. “My child just turned 24 months old...”

Couples who say “we are pregnant” when they are about to have a baby.

Alex is a great guy and way more than fair. I was hesitant to post that pic because the garage is open, but I don't think he'll mind.

I've got a buddy that has been hounding me to get a baseball game, so there ya go!

Guy tells me he makes 12k a year. So I went over it with him.

12k a year because he works 20hrs a week at minimum wage.

12k a year tax return because has 6 kids

    12k a year food stamps (1k a month)

6k a year from Ssdi for his son who has ADHD (500 a month)

6k a year from ssdi for his 450lb disabled wife (500 a month) remind you she has 6 kids

    6k a year for rental assistance (500 a month)

1500 a year for HEAP (heating assistance)

    Free cell phone (government assisted)

    Free gas cards (government assisted)

6k a year for free top of the line health insurance for 8 people with free dental and eye (government assisted) not really sure but that insurance sounds expensive. Just an estimate but I know it would be way more the that for a platinum plan to get that kind of insurance

When I do the math that’s just over 60,000 a year. Man I work 40 hrs a week and didn’t even bring that in. I’m must be doing something wrong.

Did you end up getting rid of all that awful GI?

    #483 3 months ago

Yeah, I got a bucketful of those bulbs now if anybody wants them. They have no value to me. Plenty bright without them.

Now where did I put those flippers?

    Quoted from o-din:

Yeah, I'm thinking thread eject here. Stay on topic son...
    -mof

    #485 3 months ago

OK I'm bitching now because the holes in that new long bushing for the upper flipper don't line up with the mounting plate. Or the holes in the mounting plate don't line up with the bushing. But again, I can fix it.

    #486 3 months ago

It is the mounting plate. Damn Williams quality control!

Fortunately I have a spare that will work.

    #487 3 months ago

People who get 3 or 4 pins in a week I would like to play.

    #488 3 months ago

Now the hole in the new mounting plate that the rubber bumper goes in is too big.

Edit - switch upper mounting plate with lower mounting plate that uses a plastic bushing instead of metal one?

What the hell happened to Whysnow? Anyone know why his account is frozen?

Perhaps there is a Pinside advertiser (and his wife) that doesn’t like him?

I like the black knight t-shirt. Did that No Fear pin come with a t-shirt circa 1995?

    #493 3 months ago

No, but the new Black Knight is the reason I bought another No Fear. I did that instead of bitching about it.

    Quoted from o-din:

I have never played No Fear but it’s a hell of a cost savings from Black Knight and I’m sure you have good taste. We really need to bring back the 90’s No Fear t-shirt trend though and maybe some Jenco jeans

    #495 3 months ago
    Quoted from Murphdom:

I have never played No Fear but it’s a hell of a cost savings from Black Knight and I’m sure you have good taste.

Honestly No Fear set up right is about the fastest game I can think of and the whole vibe of the thing suits me well.

    #496 3 months ago

I just figured out I'm all out of the plastic bushings for the lower flippers that I used to have a bunch of.

    #497 3 months ago

    So today's bitches are-

Replacement flipper mounting plate with wrong size hole,

and although they don't always say they are included, flipper rebuild kits that don't come with bushings.

But where there's a will, there is always a way.

    DSCN6390 (resized).JPG
    #498 3 months ago

Standard practice with bushings of all eras, it;s always something. Mine lately have been turning them into OG Stern shorts
I like to use the bench grinder so I can keep going back a little more or less as needed, but hells yeah anything will do.

    #499 3 months ago

Yeah, I just checked the rebuild kit I got for my Flight 2000 and no bushings in that one either. I know from where I got it, it doesn't say the kit would come with them, but WTF? All rebuild kits should include bushings.

I bought a bunch of those late and early Williams ones but now just have a surplus of the early ones.
