Quoted from DeeGor:This looks unreal.
Just out of curiosity. How many hours does a restore of this quality take you Chris?
I don't keep the best track of that but I do know that typically it takes 175-200 here in house and with this being a TZ with an extra magnet it would fall on the higher side .
More interestingly though it made me think about how many true man hours go into recreating one of these games. There is a lot to factor in there. The plater spent some hours nickel plating parts,my cabinet builder had some time in his efforts for sure.Powder coating was involved as well .
I would not doubt that another 50-100 hours could be tacked on to almost game ran through here on top of that number.
Quoted from treasurecove:Congrats to Starbase on getting a game like this! I'm sure you'll get many years of enjoyment out of this one!
And to Chris,.... <hats off, bowing> ... kudos to you man,... beautiful, beautiful, restoration!!! and let me tell you, I "know" what dedication and skill it takes to try and get a game to this level.
I think most restorers will agree, .. although we always 'want' to do "100 point" restorations, yet, ... on a good, good day, we might make 90 or even 95 points; but Chris ..... who continually puts his heart and soul into every restoration, always comes out with a perfect 100 every time.
Again, excellent work Chris! you ARE 'da man'!
Allen
Thank you Allen. You are almost always a participant in each of my restorations. Many of the products you have made help complete or enhance the details.
