First off thank you Chris for your hard work and amazing craftsmanship. This post is in no means meant to brag I just want to share a little pinball porn. Cannot wait to play this bad boy. Enjoy and full album located here.

#14 5 years ago

This looks unreal.

Just out of curiosity. How many hours does a restore of this quality take you Chris?

#15 5 years ago

It doesn't get any better than that.

Congratulations.

#17 5 years ago

Thank you very much all. Scared Stiff coming soon........ Really glad you all approve of the black powder. I struggled with that choice but now know it was a good one. Oh and look forward to sharing it with local pinsider buddies as usual.

Sure just bring a trout to BBQ from your farm. Send me a pm in a month or so, should be here by then.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Don't you EVER sell that beauty.

Hope it never leaves.

Yep I will cringe if I see a air ball but I hope that feeling goes away fast.

Love it, those black and blue flippers are awesome and great to see the 3rd magnet in there. Makes mine look like a two-bit whore...but I still love her!

Please, don't bring up the words "X-Men" in this beautiful thread. I want to jump in a wood chipper every time I'm reminded I owned one, and it's very insulting to this TZ.

Congrats to Starbase on getting a game like this! I'm sure you'll get many years of enjoyment out of this one!

And to Chris,.... <hats off, bowing> ... kudos to you man,... beautiful, beautiful, restoration!!! and let me tell you, I "know" what dedication and skill it takes to try and get a game to this level.

I think most restorers will agree, .. although we always 'want' to do "100 point" restorations, yet, ... on a good, good day, we might make 90 or even 95 points; but Chris ..... who continually puts his heart and soul into every restoration, always comes out with a perfect 100 every time.

Again, excellent work Chris! you ARE 'da man'!

I feel like I just had my second date with that game because I came back to look at her on a bigger monitor. She's still pretty

I don't keep the best track of that but I do know that typically it takes 175-200 here in house and with this being a TZ with an extra magnet it would fall on the higher side .
More interestingly though it made me think about how many true man hours go into recreating one of these games. There is a lot to factor in there. The plater spent some hours nickel plating parts,my cabinet builder had some time in his efforts for sure.Powder coating was involved as well .
I would not doubt that another 50-100 hours could be tacked on to almost game ran through here on top of that number.

Thank you Allen. You are almost always a participant in each of my restorations. Many of the products you have made help complete or enhance the details.
