I had a business trip back to my old stomping grounds in Sandy Eggo. In response to an earlier post, Mark opened his home and beautiful collection - including his new X-Men - to a complete stranger with the only association be a membership to a message board. Turns out he lives just around the corner from where I once lived.
While there are other pinball sites, I find pinside more of a pinball enthusiast community than just a message board.

Its a great bunch of enthusiastic collectors on here...maybe some people who just like to tinker with electronics...to a bunch of non-collectors who just love playing pinball.
The more interesting thing about pinside, is about how popular it has become over the past couple years.

Even more so in Jackson, MS - both available for sale and out in the wild. I think most the local pins are in a few private collections. Most of the pins I have I've had to go to Louisiana to get. Two I picked up within 2 blocks and one year of each other in Lake Charles - quite a haul from podunk MS. Another reason it was quite the treat to get out west and play a bunch of different public and private machines.
