    Thank you Jersey Jack Pinball...

For honoring the pinball artform by always shooting for the stars.

For trying to make the best games first and trusting that the profits will follow (instead of thinking of profits first).

For growing the industry by showing the world what pinball can be instead of just (only) trying to squeeze every dollar out of it for yourselves.

For respecting your customers through your commitment to do the very best you can do instead of stripping the hell out games to save costs.

For respecting your designers and letting their ideas shine instead of telling them the things they need to remove.

For your commitment to quality code, for not being OK with shipping with alpha or beta code that is not updated to 1.0 even a year after release.

For not releasing so many games per year that you can no longer meet the endless code update commitments you made for them.

For showing us early test versions of your games in order to get feedback and bulletproof hardware instead of relying on blind hype and hope to sell your games.

For stating as a company principle that every version you release plays exactly the same as any other so all players can experience the full game.

For honoring each license (and licensor) with your commitment to create the best game that could be made instead of just thinking your own bottom line.

For celebrating the artform of pinball through your commitment to mechanical theme integration - creating a thematic world in which the ball can come alive.

For having the courage to innovate by designing and building new mechanisms instead of playing it safe and rehashing old designs again and again.

For being an industry leader shining a light in new directions for the future of this great hobby.

To everyone at Jersey Jack Pinball, thank you.

I didn’t want to say it but yeah I agree. I was gonna say it and then decided to just let it go lol.

    #5 3 years ago

God this is just as bad as all the love letters Gary used to get around here.

    #6 3 years ago

    Well wishes for awesome sales!

Machine looks great and should be celebrated!!

    Couldn't agree more with OP.

Thanks to my favorite streamers Buffalo Pinball and Dead Flip it felt like I was there.

Why? They are doing everything Stern is not. Compare SW to this new POTC. 9k vs. 9500k. Look at how much more you are getting with JJ. It is nuts. Not to mention the build quality difference.

    #9 3 years ago

Just finished watching POTC release when I wrote this and was feelin' the love so apologies if I came off a bit too thankful for some of you hah

JJP hit it out of the park tonight.

    #10 3 years ago

I agree with you OP I was so impressed last night I almost sent Jack a thank you letter. While I can not afford this game Barcades are opening all the time and they can afford these and I can buy them routed eventually - and play them with coins until then

    #11 3 years ago

Cant a man or woman show love for pinball without getting bashed anymore? Have we all lost our sense of humanity?

    #12 3 years ago

Stern better be paying attention. The thing I am thankful for is that there is legitimate competition. Great competition will push everyone to make better more innovative games.

I'm hoping Stern is paying attention and this will light a fire within them to start stepping up and competing.

JJP should be writing thank you threads to everyone on pinsiders for paying their prices and making them wealthy.
I must have missed all those.

Hey they deserve to make some money. He and everyone who owns jjp took risks and they should eventually reap the rewards of their hard work.

Yes I'm jealous and wish I owned a pinball company that was profitable too

Funny, if you communicate with them, they do thank you. I’m a custom, Jack thanked me in person.

JJP has done a great job making fun pins. They do care about the community and every staff member I have ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with has been very appreciative and humble, always trying to help solve problems. I have not had the same experience with all stern staff. IMO, JJP sets the bar now...Quality over quantity.

Yeah, but that tie fighter on a spring is pretty dope...

    #18 3 years ago

While I do agree with the OP, for whatever reason, that was tough to read. I picture them framing that post and hanging it in the boardroom when they discuss the price structure of their next game.

Yep! Jack personally called me to thank me for my WoZRR purchase when it happened (two years ago?). I was seriously impressed that he took the time to do that. Even talked about our families for a little. Was really nice!

First email I ever sent to JJP about an issue with my ECLE was responded to by Jack. He seems like a good dude

Used to get. As in past tense. Look at the first post and compare companies right now.

This is where I think Pinside has gotten a bad rap in the past for all the negativity. It isn't a negative place, it just reflects what is going on in the greater pinball world.

Jack used to call Pinside "wrongside" because he used to get the shit kicked out of himself here all the time. But that was also at the time of blown delivery promises and all kinds of money tied up in deposits.

Now things have changed because there is no one here that has money tied up in a game that is 2 years late. Dialed In set a new standard of only small deposits and no installment payments, and the games came out in a reasonable time. Everyone can get excited again about every new release, and it's showing.

Yeah I was here, I remember. It was weird then and it's weird now.

    OMG in person?!?!?
Sorry I had to. As for communications it's night and day... Or one communicates and one does not. When my DI was late they contacted me to tell me the deal which was awesome. Then they said I could have a free shirt and promptly sent me an XL when I asked for a Medium. Can't blame them in this hobby though

I've also had Jack brought into an email conversation with a distributor... he thanked me then too, totally not necessary. But did it.

JJP shows total respect to its customers. The other one?... uh....

    #28 3 years ago

Ops post seemed as much of a Stern bashing post as a JJP love post. Can't say I entirely disagree with what he said though.

I am 100% priced out of the JJP market going forward, just don't have this amount of disposable income to throw around.

    #29 3 years ago

Really cool SDTM Exclusive flyby of JJP POTC! Better than last night's video we did.

    #30 3 years ago

OMG that game looks intense!!! The tilting ship is simply fantastic.

Thank you New Jersey, for never giving up on Jimmy Hoffa.
