Just picked up a TFTC. Noticed the shaker motor is not working. Checked in manual adj 48 is a shaker motor on/off adjustment.. On my machine I have adj 48 as "proprietary". Went through all adjustments and there is no adjustment for shaker motor. Is there not a shaker motor on my machine? Was this a optional package from factory?

Stock from factory.

Check small board near by for burned traces or metal parts behind board.

Check and fuses involved - pull and check with a meter.

My TFTC has never been working either - getting closer to the top of my list of things to sort out.

Would love to hear how you get on.

LTG, i think he ought to look to see if the shaker is even there first..

his first post asks if his game has a shaker...

it may be gone..

I had a TFTC with a dead shaker motor....it was a busted wire at the motor. Check for things like that.

Shaker motor is there. Wiring is intact. Found one of the fuse holders on the board that controls the shaker was missing a fuse. Found a 3amp fuse below th board on the base of the cabinet. I could not find a schematic of the shaker board in manual. It has three fuses. I plugged in the 3amp fuse. Rolled the dice lol. No luck. I don't think it's getting power. I'm thinkomg that the problem is that adjustment 48 for the shaker on/off is not there it says proprietary ?

Did you blow the new fuse ?

Latest ROM revision in your game ? Game Rom A3.03 Display ROM A3.01 ?

You could always briefly ground the transistor tab the drives it and see if it turns.

Yes it says proprietary turn it on

#11 11 years ago

I recently updated from 3.01 to 3.03
On both roms adjustment 48 is listed as proprietary.
3.01 - 48 does nothing. You have to disconnect the shaker power to turn it off.
3.03 - 48 turns shaker on and off.

Intensity is not adjustable in the DE games like it is in the Stern games. You probably have a bad motor, likely why there was a missing fuse and the plug then removed.

It's fixed! The power cable the motor was wrapped around the shaft. Seizing the rotation of the motor. Lol. I even removed the motor brushes they look brand new. I wonder how long this shaker motor was not working? Oh we'll don't care. Now everything works on machine. And TFTC is a kick a$$ game!

Glad it was easy and not buying a new motor or anything.

Great game and now you can enjoy it.

Can anyone tell me how to find out why my shaker motor just stopped working? All fuses ok and getting power from CN12 p9. Not sure what is the matter.

#24 10 years ago

Check for wires wrapped around the spindle, pretty common problem.

#25 10 years ago

Wires are clear and no tangle found. Anyone else??? Desperate to fix asap

#26 10 years ago

Do a shaker test and check for voltage on the pins leading to the motor from the shaker board.

#27 10 years ago

mine was fixed by changing the connector at the board in the back box.

#28 10 years ago

Is that the 9 pin connector CN12 that you replaced?

#29 10 years ago

sounds right..I believe it was at the bottom left of the bottom right board....black and something...I'm out of town ill look when i get home friday

#30 10 years ago

Any news toddslous? Which one was it?

#31 10 years ago

it is the bottom left of the board...in the middle of the screen. Change that whole connector or check yours for burning.
