So my tftc started acting weird. During game play the music shuts off and the game keeps saying "no play em no gamem" sometimes the music comes back on. Game plays fine other wise. Could it be my sound ROMs are sewed up? What is the latest software? Thanks

I'd at least turn it off and reseat cables on sound board ( any ribbon cables on the board they come from too ) and be sure any IC's in sockets are in tight and legs aren't tarnished.

Check for loose or crappy fuse holders on power supply board too.

I had the same fault with mine gradually got worse
and then started resetting during gameplay
turned out on mine to be connector CN1 starting to burn
replaced complete plug and header pins on board been good ever since
apparently this is notorious on D/E machines

+1 On this. I had to work on my CN1 when I had mine.

I tried unplugging everything and the problem seems to be getting worse. Cn1 looks fine, no burn marks. What do I try next?
