New to the club! Has anyone made insert decals? Doesn't appear so. I can't believe with the demand these haven't happened yet. I know my mylar is going to damage my inserts when I remove.

#2737 6 years ago

Well, finally got mine shipped and all the kinks worked out. I had some issues with the ball getting stuck in the trough in the upper right where the electric chair, extra ball hole is. Took the trough off and but some duck tape over the slit where the trough intersects as the is an exposed gap and a slow traveling ball can get hung up. Seems to work.

I also noticed a ton of airballs coming off the drop targets. This is common with drops. I modified one of my indy airball stopper mods I sell and no more airballs. If there is enough demand I might make some more. Im down to 7 pairs left for indy. Perhaps I can make more indys and also some tftc with only the two holes for mounting.

Considering no one makes insert overlays I decided to make some of my own. I didn't make an entire set, just the ones that look like crap on mine. I'm going to print them on water transfer paper and cover them with mylar. Will have to carefully cut out the old and install the new. I'll post before and after pics when done.

Quoted from ImNotNorm:

You mean the air ball deflector guard? jakers made mine and it appears djshakes has made some as well

I made some for Indiana jones but modified one for TFTC. I have a template to make more for TFTC and IJ as I am out of them but sounds like someone may have made them for TFTC.

Hi All,

I've made airball stoppers for the drop target banks on Indiana Jones. Airballs coming from the drops practically ruin game play. I owned a TFTC and noticed the same thing. I made a stopper and it worked well. I will be making a batch of these for TFTC if there is interest. Probably sell the laser cut piece for around $15 shipped. This will prevent the drop targets from flinging the ball into the air and causing drains you can't control. Let me know if there is interest. It is a clear plastic piece that mounts over the drop targets.

I'm having 40 airball protectors made. They are going to be $20 shipped. Sorry, cost was a bit higher than I thought. I made a limited run to see how well they sold. Made 100 sets for Indiana Jones. I should have a for sale ad up in a week or so depending on how long it takes my vendor to make.

Quoted from Mister_Swede:

Can you send to Sweden and a link for picture please

I do ship abroad. Cost a little more but not much. I'll have pics in for sale thread I create. You can probably search history for my indy stopper. Looks the same as both are three bank targets.

Hi All,

Here is a link to the airball mod stopper I made. People fell all over themselves for them when I made them for Indiana Jones. I put one on my TFTC and there were NO more airballs.

Quoted from Irishbastard:

Do you happen to have an installed pic on a TFTC?

I don't but as members receive theirs maybe they can post pics? You peel off the protective film and they are perfectly clear. You should barely see them on the game.

I only made 40 and once someone posts pics and comments how they stop airballs completely from the drop targets a flood of orders will come in. I sold 1/3 of my Indiana Jones models in less than 24 hours because people have been waiting for them since the first batch of 100 sold months ago. Get them while you can.

Quoted from mymalibu:

My drop protector broke a few days ago, wondering if they can be made a stronger or thicker product.

Mine are a an 1/8 of an inch thick. That is pretty thick. This is the first time I made TFTC so I'm not sure who you got them from before.

Hi All,

With help from pinsider Sonic I'm going to have the plastic piece that is always broken above the drop targets made in translucent red. I am having 40 made and will sell seperately or with my airball protector. I was provided a cad file by Sonic but just want to verify the measurements if anyone can measure the piece. They are going into production and they want to make a sample before.

NO MORE BUYING ENTIRE PLASTIC SETS BECAUSE THAT ONE IS BROKEN!

#3243 5 years ago
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:

hard to measure since its cut at a weird angle. if needed I guess I could send you the original. you could copy and send it back. I just bought a new cpr set.

If you would be willing I'll send you a priority label and send it back priority with a spare for free when they are done for your contribution. PM me if interested.

Okay, got the pieces back. Had 40 made. The holes line up with my airball mod but don't have a machine to test in. Can someone verify if this looks right before I sell? They are a bit thicker than originals. Same thickness as my airball mod.

Would love if someone could measure. Would hate to sell and have to refund.

#3253 5 years ago
Quoted from Sonic:

Without an air-ball protector - most TFTC's have that plastic broken - never noticed mine was until I was going to put in the protector....so there is demand for that plastic - no sense in buying a whole set of plastics....good to have DJSHAKES making these!

Let me know when you get it on sonic and verify it fits. Then I start selling.

Plus I'm not making again. Once they're gone they're gone.

#3267 5 years ago

Hi Guys,

Not selling many of the red plastics with airstopper mod. I slashed the price to $20 for a set just to get rid of them and breakeven. When they are gone they are gone. I'm not making more.

#3272 5 years ago

Hey guys, I have been super busy and am thinking about selling my stock of red plastics and airball mods if anyone wants to take over selling them. I think I have 20 airball stoppers and 25 or 27 red plastics left. I would sell them all for $200 shipped to break even. There's plenty of meat on the bone for those that want to sell them individually. Once they are gone they are gone.

I like a lot of things data east did more than Bally, but those pegs are the worst part of a de game.

Quoted from CryptKeeperAUS:

Hi guys, I am looking for a replacement spinner frame like the one pictured. Its for the right hand side target on my tftc. The spinner target is OK.. just the frame has been all bent to hell somehow.. if any one knows where to find one it would be appreciated. Thanks
[quoted image]

That's flat metal. Why not use a vice to straighten? just cinch the various parts in a vice. Should straighten it fine.

#3463 4 years ago
Quoted from CryptKeeperAUS:

Thanks for the advice and I might give that a go but everything else has been polished and came up really well, so it just one of those things annoying me now the rest of the playfield looks great. It isnt a huge problem and the game still plays great..

I hear you. I just know for some reason those spinner parts are hard to come by for a lot of games. You should still be able to polish after straightening.
