Ok, so I've googled, and searched around pinside. So I'm guessing I'm the only one having this problem, or maybe everyone else just puts the machine into virtual lock.

I've been trying to get this cannon to work right for sometime now. Stern has stopped responding to my tech questions. So I guess I'm on my own.

They suggested pulling the trough and widening it. No change
They suggested checking the micro switches they all work when activated by a ball
They suggested I check the IR sensors. Those work as they should.

Other things I've been doing it playing with the table leveling.
Replaced the balls

So here's what's happening sometimes the cannon won't see the first ball go in. It has to do a ball search to get the ball to move enough to make the switch. Other times Ball 1 and 2 no problems. Ball 3 won't move the first 2 balls enough to make the switch.

Has anyone had success getting this thing to work as it's was intended? Or am I just on a wild goose chase?
