Quoted from PinMonk:So how was Weird Al? Fun? Boring? Hard? Easy?
Weird Al was very interesting. The music is a big part of it, but that was certainly hampered by all the sounds at the show. It has some nice shots and really cool gadgets.
I would say it is comparatively hard...but then again...I don't know the rules. Lol!
I waited in line for an hour, and I saw dozens of people play over the weekend. The highest score I heard of or saw was 2.2 million. I played 2 games and both were in the 1.8 million range.
It is a truly unique theme and one that I would have never expected to see in pinball. Those are GREAT things.
Quoted from Mudflaps:Yeah. It was gorgeous, no doubt. But the Supercharger didn’t work. The kickback didn’t work. He put a ton of time and effort into the game, and I genuinely appreciate the work involved. But there were issues, for sure.
Anyway, congrats to him for best in show.
He literally wept when he received the award.
Quoted from PBINTHESOUTH:I'll just post the disappointing.. if not done in here all ready..
a TOTAL absence of some of the best modern games..
NO Stranger Things
NO TWD
NO MM
NO LOTR
NO AC/DC
NO Metallica..
There were a few weird virtual versions of soemme of these game but no authentic one.. probably others i'm forgetting..
I notice you own several of those. Why didn't you bring them?
I think that regardless of the 'why's' and 'how's' of our collective reasoning for being there, we can all agree on one thing: It was GREAT to be back after 3 long years.
I was able to attend 2 of the 3 days, bring my kids, meet up with some friends, buy some merch, and of course...play a lot of pinball. I will make no apologies, my main goal is to play LOTS of pins at the show. It is a getaway for me.
Quoted from Seraph:My friends named "Karen" have had a hard time of it these last few years.
My mom's name is Karan
Crazy thing is...she's the nicest person! WAYYYYYY nicer than me!!!
