Thank you for everyone taking pictures and videos for those who could not make it to the show. We are living the experience through this thread, so please keep it coming!

    Quoted from Pinup:

I have been on Pinside for quite a few years, but not really active. I recently retired and have some more time and want to be more involved. I also verified my account just so I could post in this thread. I am in the DFW area and attend the TPF every year (every year it is held, anyway). Having a great time as usual this year, but couple of thoughts:
Spooky is in an awkward location and it was hard to get in line to play their games. I don't know the politics, pricing, etc., of space allocation, but if vendors are going through the trouble of bringing in machines, the spacing might be more of a consideration.
The food trucks have been a really good idea but the ones that have been brought in (in my opinion) haven't been great. It seems like the ones this year were lacking. (Trying to be kind because I love the event and just offering my take.) Surely, the volume could support some better options.
I was also a little surprised at the lack of more recent A list games (Met, AC/DC, Deadpool, MM remake, etc.), but I guess people aren't bringing their HUO machines out. I didn't so I can't fault anyone for that.
Overall, this is a great event and I am really happy it is in my backyard and the organizers do a fantastic job. It was great see lots of the newest games from most manufacturers and some of the largest distributers.

With you being retired, right there in the local area, and wanting to get more involved, sounds like this is the perfect opportunity for you to bring some fresh ideas and solutions to the current situation and help manufacturers overcome space limitations, collectors bring their A-list/HUO/$8000-$25K pinball machines for the entire general public to enjoy, and find some local food vendors to attend this event with new culinary options!!!

I look forward to the changes coming in TPF 2023!

    Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

Overall, I enjoyed the show, met lots of people in person that I've communicated with via Pinside, hand delivered some mods and even pickup up a few things.
However, I did have one really odd experience. I was playing the Mezel Mods Godzilla pin which was located in a tent next to their booth. Out of nowhere some stranger reached under the tent wall and grabbed me around the right ankle with both hands for about 5 seconds and wouldn't let go. It was truly an odd experience. They were obviously male hands/arms, but when they let go and I walked out of the tent and around the corner to confront the person, they were gone (or at least it wasn't obvious).

Maybe they were really shy and trying to flirt...?

    Quoted from Pinslot:

Who makes that alternative Star Trek BG? Looks fantastic.

If you loved that, you'll die over the "mirror image" playfield the owner made, so it is a mirror'd replica of the stock pf. THAT had to be a fricking massive undertaking.

Holy cow. Great thread for learning who to add to my ignore list. Good gosh, all mighty - some of the attitudes here...
