    Quoted from Jared:

    For sure I will get:
    The P3 (Lexy Lightspeed)
    Whoa Nellie
    The Hobbit
As for filming in the seminar hall... well... I wont do it unless I have the credentials and clearance. I do not want to overstep myself here. I will look into it.

I've always video taped all shows inside and out without "credentials",
but I guess I'm a radical though haha!
But yeah I get "press pass" now.

Wow. Thanks. Some day I need to go to a pinball show!

Is that Terminator for sale? I don't think I've ever seen something that friggin' cool. (Not that I'd be able to afford but just curioius.

Edit: Just saw this on a quick Google search...wonder if this is it or similar at least: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/terminator-t-800-endoskeleton-sideshow-collectibles-400060/

Any AFMR news yet? Keep up the good work

    #54 9 years ago
    Quoted from Jared:

What footage were you wanting to see?

    P3 MFG Prototype!

    #55 9 years ago

Great pics. I really need to get to the tpf. That hall looks like double expo's size. Fantastic lay out!

    #56 9 years ago

Please get some Lexi footage, very curious to see that. Wow! That's a big show - was contemplating the expense of flying out there, hotel, etc. and decided against it. I may have to attend next year.......don't know how you guys afford all of this I must be in the wrong profession.....

Anyways, Jared, thanks for all the hard-work, it eats up so much time documenting a show for posterity that you hardly have time to "be in the moment." Great job.

Could you comment on who those pinsiders are and how many Pinsiders got to meet/greet in total?

    -nate

    #57 9 years ago

That is a huge venue. Looks awesome.

    #58 9 years ago

Need videos please.. So far the camera shots are fantastic and clear. Thanks so much for posting this Jared. U the man!!!

    #59 9 years ago

Thanks for the pics Jared, I will be interested in your opinion of the show this year. I hope to go next year instead of expo

    #60 9 years ago

Great photos! Any chance for some video of the JM color DMD? Please?

    Quoted from Shapeshifter:

No. If there is any, it's likely to come in Rick's talk tonight.

    #62 9 years ago

more pics and vids of people playing pins please

    #63 9 years ago

    Keep the requests coming.

As you all know, I cannot video in the seminar hall.

This is a 40,000sqft room. There are 430+ working pins and 50+ arcades. It's absolutely massive.

I will take photos/videos of anything in the hall that you all like.

    #64 9 years ago

    What time does streaming start.

    Thanks for doing this.

    #65 9 years ago

    As I said...

Streaming cannot happen, due to exclusivity agreements.

    So I changed it up,

I will take photos and make videos of the event, or specific things members here request.

    #66 9 years ago

Any chance you could grab some pics or video of The Big Lebowski at the Cointaker booth? Haven't seen any mention of it yet!

So what does that mean in terms of what time the streaming will start?

    #68 9 years ago

My bad. I was thinking that you could still stream from the show floor, just not the seminars.

Hey Jared, maybe you can stream an after party or other not officially TPF stuff.

    Quoted from Jared:

This is an edited version of this post.
The Texas Pinball Festival is here and I am happy to provide photo and video coverage inside the event hall for PINSIDE. Due to exclusivity agreements, I am not able to live-stream the seminars.
I will be photographing the event, machines and vendors. I will also to GOPRO LIVE VIDEO to my Ustream Account from the show-floor. I can provide you guys with POV video walking the floor and seeing the vendors.

    http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jguynes
Based on your feedback and interest, I can photograph or video any machine or area in the main exhibit hall. Have a special request? Just leave a comment.
It's always best to BE HERE IN PERSON, but for those of you who could not make it for whatever reason, this thread can be of some value to you all. Leave a comment with any requests. Thanks!

    #69 9 years ago

    Sorry!

I will do the live streaming after the auction!!

    #70 9 years ago

I gotta say, I know it's not your fault Jared, but it really is a tragedy that they didn't let you live stream from the seminars. It was so cool watching you live streams from Expo last year as the big events unfolded, it made me feel like I was there. It was a great service you provided. I've looked on the TPF website and the Arcade Repair Tips website for any recordings and nothing is there, I hope they post something soon.

Anyways, rant over, carry on, and thanks for the pics so far.

    #71 9 years ago

I understand "a deal was in place" for TPF, but I would implore all future pinball events to make a priority for "live" streaming, whether by Jared or someone else. It made the expo literally into a global event, not watching old stale videos weeks later. I don't see it hurting ticket sales, and will only increase the profile of any large event with seminars.

Agreed. most cannot make the shows due to geography. Even a small paid viewing would be preffered to waiting weeks. Very frustrating!!

    #73 9 years ago

Not Jared's fault on the streaming - for sure. But I really think streaming would be good for the sport/hobby. Seems like they could get sponsorship from the manufactures like JJP and Stern in exchange for advertising/commercials during the streams.

    #74 9 years ago

It is getting easier to do this now with Twitch channels and the like.

I bet I can teach Jack to do the streaming himself from his cell phone. I doubt anyone would stop him from streaming his own seminar. Having said that, Ed and the organizers here are friends and I respect them highly. I do not want to do anything that is against their wishes or interests.

Any more custom pins than Goonies and Spinal Tap? GREAT coverage of Spinal Tap, BTW! If so, would love to see more. (Also would love to see more close-ups of Goonies and get some word on the P3 front).

    #90 9 years ago

Ok, I am about to head back in there and take pictures of requests.

If you get a chance to shoot pictures of the woodrails that would be cool - think there is a Derby Day there?

First and foremost, these pictures are great, Jared. Many thanks for your time taken with this thread. Next, if there's any spare time in your day (laughable, I know) would be interested in:

    A) What's the story behind that "Galaxy Pinball?"

    B) Same with the NGG with alternate cab art?

    C) Any chance of getting some more shots of that woodrail 3D backglass?

Thanks for all these pics and for accommodating all of us beggars and choosers.

    #99 9 years ago

    Jared,

Thank you very much for taking the time to shoot all of these pictures. I know that had to be hard given all the activities and pins to play, and we are very appreciative to see all of this. Very cool stuff, man. Thanks again!
