Quoted from pinlink:Not sure what you mean by this? Who are you referring to? The staff at the show is great, but they certainly don't fix broken pinball machines that are on the floor. (And they shouldn't)
They repaired 19 machines that went down during the show in 2018
Quoted from pinlink:Who is "They"? Honest question. And how do you know it was 19 games? Was this published somewhere?
Games get repaired at TPF but it's usually by owners or The Pin Smith. I've been to the last 8 years or so of TPF. Never seen "the staff" repairing games. I'm not even sure how they would go about doing this without the keys to the games. Anyways...back to the "drama".
Last year the show started the Texas Pinball Hospital with Volunteers. Where people could request repair help. The show logged 19 games repaired, I have the list. The list of games repaired was not published as there is no need to publish it. The owner would contact the hospital, and hand over keys, if the machine needed to be removed from the floor it was, otherwise repairs were made on the spot.
Quoted from TxJay:That's weird, I brought 3 games last year and not once was I told of this Pinball Hospital. Where was this mentioned? I still have a packet they hand out when you bring a game. I didn't see it in there. Am I just missing it? Was it just word of mouth?
I don't think there were fliers in the packets. There were fliers at registration and the registers at the doors. It was the first year so bugs are still being worked out, and it's not setup to do hard downs or broken machines that require extensive repairs as that's not what it's designed to do.
But hey, I guess you can always get Tim Arnold from the Pinball Hall Of Fame Museum in Las Vegas to repair and restore your machines. It appears he's now working for Texas Pinball Machines.

Maybe the OP should change the title of the thread here to something like: "Do not buy games from the scumbags in Granbury, TX"
