I picked up a very nice STTNG last week. After playing several games, it developed a couple of issues. I put the machine in test mode and was running through the tests, but pressing enter during, say, the single test switch doesn't do anything. I also tried it in the clear out balls test (T18) trying to get the balls out from under the play field and same thing - nothing. DMD indicates that it is clearing the balls, but nothing actually happens. Thoughts on what is going on?

Good point, Herb. I'll check when I get home tonight. I know that the coin door was not closed then doing this.

Thanks guys. STTNG was/is our dream machine. Got a superb example for a very good price. I am still kinda new to owning pinball machines and still have to figure out how to do the work on them. Debated on the STTNG because of its reputation but couldn't pass it up as it was nearly flawless. Probably won't try soldering on boards or anything quite yet, but, with the help of this forum, we will manage the rest of it. The subway is quite dirty, so probably a good time to disassemble and clean everything anyway. This one isn't going anywhere - ever.
