It would be awesome at first, then you would notice build quality issues. Features would be removed and then sold as DLC. If it broke you would have to send it to an authorized service center. And in about 7 years no one would want your used game.

Car pins have traditionally done very poorly.
Tesla fan boy here....I own 2...... But this sounds like a horrible idea. I would be more interested in the band than the car company.
This is of course assuming it'll arrive not properly assembled, break down constantly, and certain features can be removed by the manufacturer remotely should you ever decide to sell it. Then yes, it would be a Tesla pinball machine... LOL

Yep, you are.
How many car pins are there? I can only think of Corvette, Mustang and a Gottlieb EM or two. None of which had outstanding layouts. Checkpoint did ok, not a big draw in the collector market though as the layout is only fair.
Hot Wheels seems to have done ok, though more about the brand than a particular car.
And no, I have no interest in a Tesla pin.

Um... I hate to break it to you but that's simply wrong. Also, shorting TSLA is a really stupid and I mean STUPID idea... Billions have been lost already trying to outwit that stock.
I'm about as critical of Tesla as you can get (previous owner of 2 different Tesla's) but I can promise you the company and it's cars have that "it" factor and people absolutely want that "it"... Why do you think they have a line that constantly wraps around the block for their cars and why seemingly every quarter now they're delivering more cars than before?
When I used to own them, there wasn't a place we could go without SOMEONE asking to see the car (more so on our model X then S but still)...

Honestly, unless you've ever driven one you can't really say you have zero interest. The cars themselves are a completely different universe automobile wise. The company is horribly corrupt, and Elon is as shady as it comes, but the cars... Wow... (assuming of course you got a good one off the line but that's a completely different conversation)

I've had a Y for almost two years. Zero maintenance or issues. Cost is about $25 a month on my electricity bill and 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. I was a doubter too until I drove one.
Someone need only inception this idea into Elon's head at his next psychedelic retreat in NorCal. He'll do a limited run of 100 pins and sell them for 1 bitcoin each.
Everything they sell on the website sells out. Tequila, flamethrowers, short shorts, Cyberwhistle. It's reasonable a pin would do well.

I can easily state I have zero interest because I have zero interest. None of his products fit my needs so therefore an easy call to make.

Yeah but pretty sure no kids have posters of a Tesla Y on their bedroom wall. I don't think paying electric bills, waiting for batteries to charge, and watching your range translate to anything exciting unless you are a big tech nerd.

Every pin does well. Every licensed theme sells. Every machine gets buyers. There’s an ass in every seat.
“It would sell” is no longer a good justification for bad pinball themes. As long as it’s a license with any kind of following, “it will do well.” So why make a theme as shitty as Tesla?

A number of years ago, I bought a Tesla t-shirt to support the fundraising efforts of restoring Nikola Tesla's former Wardenclyffe laboratory on Long Island. This was before Tesla (the company) was so mainstream. I think many of the technological developments Tesla (the company) has done are fascinating, but there are a number a things I don't agree with (lack of reparability, treatment of customers, treatment of employees, etc). So, I don't dare wear that Tesla t-shirt now since there'd be confusion between the Tesla museum and Tesla (the company).
I'd have zero interest in a Tesla (the company) pin. I'd have mild interest in a Nikola Tesla pin, depending on what the actual game would be like. I think that kind of theme might be a little hard to gamify, though.
I don't get it. It's an economy car. Like a Toyota Prius.
Plus they make no noise. What sounds would the pin use? What callouts?

Electric is cheaper than gas, Tesla doesn't make posters, and waiting for batteries to charge is a way to say you don't know what you're talking about without saying you don't know what you're talking about...

I collect classic Porsches, and restored a 1986 air cooled G body, which is loving cars on hard mode.
If you like Tesla, I'm not going to Yuck your Yum. But, please understand, there is such a wider world out there of cars and racing. I'm glad we're moving to EVs, but Tesla is objectively a very flawed company with a flawed product.
The Tesla pinball machine would have missing parts, giant panel gaps, and you would not be able to fix it yourself.

It would smoke you in a straight line. A few times. Then the battery would overheat and the performance would plummet.
Going fast in a straight line is not the only relevant metric of a high performance car. There is steering feel (Tesla is electronic, which many serious car people dislike), handling, weight, and 1000 other factors.
One of my favorite Porsches I own is my $6000 Boxster. It's not fast, but it is tossable and light. With the top down on a warm day, it's the best car I own, and it cost a fraction as much as my high performance track toys.
Again, I have no issue with Tesla - but as it is with pinball, what is "best" depends on who it's for and what they value.
