Spinning my Specials vinyl tonight and sipping some whiskey for Terry. The Specials were an essential part of the soundtrack of my youth. In my first apartment above a shoe shop, the couple accross the hall were mods and their apartment was covered in Specials, Madness, the Selector, etc. posters. He had a constantly breaking down Vespa and I had a constantly breaking down motorcycle and the punk and the mod became friends and worked on our bikes, drank beers and played music. I'd listened to some of the Two Tone ska bands, but it was then I got the history lesson and really learned to love it.
