Hey all, I have a Stern Terminator 3 and the backbox GI behind the RPG field does not work. In doing some preliminary checking it seems that Q4 on board is fine so I began looking further. There are two fuses that are listed for the circuit in the schematic that I located to the left of the lower IO board in the backbox. In the schematic these are shown as a GRY feed (Power from transformer) to RED-YEL through a 3A fuse and GRY-GRN feed (Power from transformer) to YEL-RED through a 3A fuse. In this game the wiring looks like GRY to GRY-GRN through the bottom fuse and RED-YEL to YEL-RED through the top fuse which does not match the manual and makes no sense. The bottom fuse was blown and replacing it will cause it to instantly blow which I am assuming is because both sides are from the transformer? Can someone confirm how this is wired in their backbox? See the attached pictures for how mine is wired and how the manual shows it. Any help is appreciated. IMG_4572.JPGIMG_4572.JPGsce.jpgsce.jpg

I can confirm....that doesn't make sense. The wire connections in the pic do not match the schematic, as you say.

Hopefully someone with a T3 will happen along.

I the top picture notice the two wires Ty wrapped together that fits the schematic

So move that left lower grey up and the right yellow in its place on the lower and you will be golden.

I came up with the same thing.
But what I couldn't understand is why someone (apparently) moved the wire(s) in the first place. I couldn't make out enough in the picture to decide whether the soldering was original or now.

I just assumed someone replaced fuse holders(solder did not look factory clean) and mixed up the wires.
Yes hard to tell but I would be 99.999% confident the schematic is correct.

I got the game I can check in an hour and a half.

I agree which is why I questioned it. It seems like my configuration is two feeds from the transformer tied together which makes no sense. Pinballnut3 if yours is set differently I will modify mine to match.

Sorry got home a little late. Does this answer everything? I can get a wider one if needed.

Nope, that's perfect. Mine was definitely wrong so I matched to yours which matches the schematic and like magic the lights work. Somehow this was wrong either a mistake during a repair or from the factory of which I am not sure. It is however correct now and solved the issue. Thanks for all the help.
