Hey everyone… I began breaking down the Terminator 2 pin I purchased about 11 years ago. I am not troubleshooting a problem per se because it hasn’t been fired up in that length of time and I don’t remember if sound was an issue. That said it seems as though this machine had some repairs made to it that has me scratching my head if I should fix it to the way it should be.
According to the manual which I have attached the relevant section there should only be a black and yellow wire coming from both J504 and J505. I took a picture of the back box boards before I began to remove all the wiring. The next picture is the back box speaker connectors and presumably the Molex that goes back to J504, it was removed 11 years ago so it isn’t in the pic connected to the board.
What I can tell you about J505 is that it goes all the way down to the cabinet bottom speaker along with the barrel plug wire which connects up to its mate in the speakers in the back box as depicted in the picture via the male barrel.
I guess my question is the manual says J505 should have one wire and it in fact has three. Should I leave it as is for now or should I fix it ahead of time. If anyone who has a T2 could advise what they have in their machine that would be awesome as well. LTG
1) Pic explanation (J505 in red) - as it was connected to board
2)Pic with molex and barrel - same as above along with barrel commector both coming from wire loom
3)Pic with lots of red writing - connectors from back box speaker. presumably this attaches on board at J505. Also the mate to the other barrel.
4)manual pic- states only black/yellow wire on each connector. (mine is solid black in first pic. all wrong if you ask me)
