In working on restoring my t2, i did have the issue of the bumper lights not working or back lights. That seemed to resolve itself after wiggling the 12 position connector (witch looks like it has been burnt a little).
I continued to LED the machine, after turning it on I'm missing some of the sounds.
No Arnold at all, the other sounds are still there.

Take a listen/ look at the attached video.

I also think I need a new ribbon cable (14 PIN 30" ) for the DMD, but marco's seems to be out of stock. Anther suggestions as to where to get that?

Thanks,
-Will

No idea on sounds.

https://www.greatplainselectronics.com/ Ed has ribbon cables or can make what you need.

Any ideas on the sounds or missing voice it worked when I got it..

Ribbon cables most likely.

So does some sound come from one area and some from another?

Best prices on ribbon cables can be had from Great Plains Electronics.

It was a ribbon again. I just unseeded every ribbon and then reseeded them (so I'm not even sure which one it was).
Wow, I seem to have many ribbon issues, are they supposed to be touchy?

They are a standard item to replace on my restorations.

After 20+ years, they have had the lick!

Just replace them all and be done with it. Otherwise, you will continue to have weird problems every now and then.

I had a similar problem with a t2 . I reseated the sound roms, and it fixed it.

Sounds like a good idea to replace all these ribbons. Does anyone sell a t2 ribbon replacement kit, or have a list of all the ribbon specs on that machine?
