Hi,

Right flipper on my Terminator 2 is weak after my 7-year banged on it. According to the manual, the EOS switch is part #03-7811 -- normally closed. But the EOS switch on both flippers (including the still-good left flipper) look normally-open:

Which rebuild kit should I buy? Normally-open or normally-closed? Is it possible someone converted these to normally-open kits? Anyway to tell for sure?

Thank you very much for any help.

That's not an EOS switch.

That's a flipper cabinet switch.

And yes, the flipper cabinet switches are NO.

Flip up the playfield and take good clear pics of the two flipper coils and surrounding parts so we can see what you've got going on.

Thanks for the reply Russ. I'll take some more pics this weekend. What does a flipper cabinet switch do?

In T2, it is part of the flipper coil circuit.

The full power of the coil must pass through that switch when you press the button in and it closes that switch gap.

That's why those switch contacts are tungsten - they must conduct 50 volts.

The little disc is a spark suppression capacitor, it reduces sparking which can damage the contacts.
