I have a quick question for all the T2 owners out there. My machine randomly awards some small amount of points to a shooter right as the ball is kicked out into the launch lane. It is always a small amount, sometimes a few hundred and sometimes a few thousand. I assume this isn't normal but am not sure where to even start troubleshooting. Has anyone else ever seen this?

My GI is down and appears to be traced back to J120 and J121. The connector on J120 is obviously fried. The connections on J121 look pretty clean but the wiring is a complete hack job on that one. Everything I'm reading indicates that I should replace the pins along with the connector for J120. I'm pretty novice with a soldering iron so the thought of replacing pins makes me a bit nervous. Two questions.

1. If I just replace the connector and move to LEDs, how long should I expect to make it before frying another connector?
2. Does anyone on the forum offer repair service where I could ship the board to them and have them repin it for me?

Thanks, I'll start with a connector swap. I'm trying to track down the wiring guide for J120 and J121 to make sure they are in the right order. As I mentioned, it's currently a hack job so I want to clean them up at the same time. The GI lights only worked on the left side when I first got the pin and they went out within the first few hours of play.

I have a quick question for the other T2 owners out there. The ball popper cup keeps coming off. When I put it back together, with the pin in place, it lasts about 5 or 6 games before the pin pops out. It seems to still pop the ball out fine without the cup installed.

- Is there any harm in playing without the cup?
- Is there something I'm missing when I reassemble that is making it come apart so quickly?

Thanks guys. I found a new cap and already had it carted. I'm having a tough time finding the pin anywhere. My plan was to replace parts but I just wasn't sure if I was missing something simple. I'd definitely checked out the diagram and things looked right. It's definitely a machine that has some mileage on it so a little slop makes sense.

Quoted from PhillyArcade:

So let me ask you guys this... I posted some pics of my newly acquired T2 on my Flickr here.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/phillyturbosix/albums/72157670455498964
Let me know what a price would be for this machine if you were to make an offer on it. Just want to see if the price I paid was close to the current value. Don't worry you won't hurt my feelings!

It's always worth what someone is willing to pay. I recently bought one and couldn't find any working versions for under $2000. It has some dings and wear, but if it works, it would probably fetch that number.

Quick question regarding the skill shot. My T2 seems to hit between the 2nd and 3rd target (counting from the bottom). Many times this results in a miss for the skill shot which is incredibly frustrating since it should be so simple. For a while it was really dialed in to the middle target but something must be off now. I've tried adjusting things but nothing seems to help. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this one?

Thanks guys. Looks like a weekend project.

On to my newest issue. The skull drop target stated acting up this weekend. The target registers the hit and drops but I don't get a "Load the Canon" callout and Database doesn't light. I assume something is not right with the switch labeled 19 in the manual but wanted to make sure I was on the right track. There seems to be a lot involved with the drop target assembly so I want to avoid doing more harm than good.

Does the target drop actually trigger the switch?

Thanks for the confirmation; at least I was heading down the right road. I'll open it up tonight and see how things look.

This one was an easy fix. The screw holding the switch came loose. If only they were all this easy.
